try the demo first, and use compatability mode. Also running the game in "administrator" mode might solve your issues (if you have any)
[QUOTE="captalchol"]Vista or XP probably doesn't make a difference.. what are the specs of the laptop?leredab

Isn't rome total war only like 2 years old? Games have to be ancient to even start to worry about Vista compatibility.
forget about gaming on vista for probably 2 years...it will suck your computer and spit it::

You can ignore this statement, gaming on Vista is just as good as gaming on XP. Yes there are some games that don't work with Vista, Jade Empire for example, but most of the games that don't work on Vista didn't work on XP either. Your fram rates in Vista, after the latest updates, are no comperable with XP.
Either this poster hasn't tried Vista personally or had an older computer that they tried it on. I mean no offense but most people who make these statement fall into either of those categories.

Most games ive played runs better on vista. (Pluss I get better graphics on my gaming rig with it)Rome Total War with Alexander expension works here.
Explain to me how games can run better on Vista when Vista sucks memory from you're comp
Now why does that post seem familliar, let me think....ah yes, i remember now, people were posting the same thing about XP when they ran 98.BTOG46
exactly, dejavu
People will get over it and figure it out... eventually. The difference between gaming on Vista and XP is just like XP and 98... one more memory module.
