Vista Installation stuck at splash screen?

This is the screen that i'm talking about:

I am installing this on a laptop, and this screen just sits there even after i've waited over a half-hour. The laptop had Vista on it before but one of the system files somehow got deleted, so i'm trying a Vista repair installation. Please help:(

I just installed Vista 32 the other day onto my new rig. I thought it was weird that my screen sat at the same spot for a good five minutes at least. But it eventually moved on. You'll probably have to end up reformatting your hard drive. But before you do that, I would say try Windows tech support. They are amazing, they will do all they can to help you, even call you back at a time specified by you. No, I don't work for them, but I just called them for my installation.

Windows Vista takes a stupid amount of time to load up the installation... just give it a few minutes and it moves on
