Vista is better for old games

Believe it. Well, that's the experience of at least one developer and their old games...

3 out of the 5 worked on Vista for me (Kayak Extreme and Hot Chix didn't run properly), then again probably that many would work on XP as well.

It's interesting anyway, and considering all the horror stories people throw at you, I have been very impressed with how well games run under Vista!

my experience = Vista is no problem for ANY game I've expected to work, being completely honest

(and not counting the above since apparently they don't work for XP either)

must be some people's hardware or something that gives them grief with Vista...

Yea I agree too, theirs too many Vista bashers out there. I've experienced maybe two bugs on Vista, but other than that Vista is actually much better than XP in my opinion. All my games run fin on it except Hitman Blood Money and the Sims 2 which mysteriously keep crashing when trying to launch them. Overall I have no regrets about switching to Vista.

it should be fixed in the coming month acording to Creative. i got a card like that too but hasnt installed it yet. waiting for the new Creative drivers :)

Except when the Direct X 10 games start to flood the market. Then everybody will run out and get Vista. It's just the evolution of the gaming market. 

Most people aren't getting vista until dx10 is mandatory.

 I don't plan on getting it soon as it's pointless for me since I can't afford it or a dx10 card, so I'm with XP till I need Vista.

I can't say there is anything wrong with Vista... just not in my price range at the moment lol

windows vista is good but for the old game (DirectX9& older) win XP better Than vista:shock: :shock: :shock:

my old game can not work with Vista! 

the only problem ive had with it is that colin mcrae rally 05 dusnt work but everything else ive played works perfect on it including most games that i used to love on XP when i got that like the max payne series
