TBh i haven't had any problems with games working in vista, i might just be one of the lucky one's.
The only game out of all mine that has taken the biggest hit is UT04 (old i know but multiplayer still owns) it's about 30% slower then it was in xp, but it's still very much playable. Haven't noticed any difference in UT3 and COD4.
System atm is : Q6600 (@ stock), 2gig 667mhz Ram, 8800GT
Good thing you brought this up because i do face lag in a lot of my games
im running not the best ccard but i know its not this bad to were it affects the game that much nividia geforce 6100se
when i play halo its amazing that i can run it only on medium fine but i still have choppieness.
but when i play css which is a less demanding game it runs really smooth.
vista also affected my bf2 experience too
By "lag" I mean stuttering and choppiness.zenzen
I have experienced none, other than Crysis on Very High, and even then it is playable.

That has nothing to do with the OS but with that terrible card; it's not even a card, but an integrated chipset. Recent games show minimal difference between XP and Vista, because they have been tested on both OS. Older games were never meant for Vista and typically show a larger difference in performance but then again, older games have no problem running on newer hardware.
