Hey,

I just got a new computer with Vista on it and it's kinda starting to annoy me. I shut off the User Account Control to hopefully stop all the annoying security pop ups, and it did stop some but I still get a pop up while web browsing. I'll attach and picture and if anyone know's a way to shut it off please tell me.

Thanks

You must run "msconfig" and shutdown "Base Filtering Engine".

Are you using Firefox? If you are, go to Tools > Options, click on the Security tab, click on Settings in the Warnings box, and uncheck all of the boxes. That will stop the annoying security alerts.

If that's an Internet Explorer warning, well, I don't know since I don't use that browser.

Wierd. I only get that once or twice after a format. I've never changed security settings in firefox or turned off UAC in vista.
