I recently built a new computer and am trying to install games on it but whenever I try to install a dvd game then I get an error message that says setup exe. has stopped working, check online for a solution. This will only happen for dvd's but not for cd's like battlefield 2. Is this a problem with vista or did I install it the disk drive wrong or something? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you have a DVD drive and not just a CD drive?

i can run gow and other dvd games on vista no problem

it could be that your using a Cd drive?

your dvd drive isnt fast enough, ie. 8x instead of 16x?

also, if you go on to your computer, search through the dvd drive and look for the autorun file, right click - properties and try to find an option to run it in a previous version of windows, ie. XP sp2, and run as administrator

if not then i dont no
