i run vista ultimate 32 bit edition too works sweet with games music downloading etc... great compatibillity mode too better then XP but still some things are a bit anoying like user acount control personally i don't mind it but you hear peeps and other OS developers say like apple (a big f*ck you to apple for saying they are the most safest OS builders that hacker got total control of your ibook With Tiger OSX way faster then Vista 300.000 lines of security b*tch *ss) that it's stupid and lame for such an function but Linux has Super User but still if you get use too it it's not that big problem
But if you want Vista then you need to be prepared to give up a few gigs of your Hard Drive depending on the version you'll gonna use. And if you have skinned your XP to Vista and you like it then start using Windows Vista instead of XP Â
Main reasons to use Vista
1 there are like 13 updates right now for Vista (round 34 if you include language packs)
XP had in this short time 44 updates
2 if something hangs (Proces), Â it reactivates
3 Ready 2 boost meaning if you got a memory stick you can use it as an extra memory
4 well the looks are tons better then XP (i have Dreamscene Woohoo!!!)
5 my main reason Stabillity and Safety and off course Windows DVD maker, defender all great programs
don't forget it's like Xbox 1 when the 360 came xbox 1 was forgotten and bled to death same goes for XP
For the last time NO!!! However, Vista is getting better, and it's mostly driver problems people are having. Anyone with a brain knows you wait at least a year after a new OS comes out to buy it.Cerza
Yeah I was planning on upgrading everything including the os to Vista in a year from now. U think sp1 will be out by then?
Windows Vistara astara sukca. yeah baby. LOL
Dude, use your Win XP for now, you dont really need Vista yet, wait until a year or two maybe you should get it by then - maybe.....but for me I might have to get Vista cuz my XP is in the other HDD and if I cant transfer it to my new HDD, and IF I have to buy a new XP, which is $99 Home Basic then I might as well buy Vista Home Basic same price. and the premium Vista is now only $134 at BestBuy - Oh man, Im having a hardtime right now, and Im only on 30 free day trial using XP.

i wonder how many people post on Vista threads without actually running Vista? correct me if i'm wrong but i think that alot of the people who say bad things about vista havn't actualy used it (i can't imagine anyone buying a copy of Vista and just shelving it for a year)
i'm Running Vista ultimate at the moment and i'll be the first to agree that it does have some compatibility issues but i havn't found any problem that i havnt been able to fix and it didn't take long for me to get Vista exactly how i wanted it (a day or two) and when you finally start to figure things out it is obvious that Vista was design through public opinion of XP (meaning most of the changes and upgrades make Vista a far better operating System then XP) if you asked me the same question 4 months ago i would have advised against it but all the problems have been fixed and now is a good a time as any to upgrade.
As for running games on Vista i havn't found any problems yet
