Is x64 64-Bit vista? Because I have x86 Vista and it's 32 bit. I have 4gb of RAM and it only sees 3.3 gb of it, but I think I might upgrade to 64 bit. Is it worth it to see the extra .7 gb?

x64 is 64 bit, it might be worth it, current;y driver support isn't that great. some people though have little problems and there those that have a ton of problems.

filmography

When I had 4GB of DDRII 800MHz Dual-Channel using Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit. I didn't really notice a difference from using 2GB of the same type of memory. I used DreamScene and kept WinKey+Tab (Aero Switch) to try and slow it down, I notice a little lag in the DreamScene content, that's about it. But since you already have it (4GB), why not? Except, don't use the I.E. 64-bit, no flash support, sadly.

Is there any way to upgrade to 64 bit as opposed to reformatting?

The 64-bit version requires a clean install.  Fortunately, they include both versions in the box with Vista.  If I were you, however, I would wait about a year to upgrade, especially if you consider performance issues more important than security issues (x64 Vista has better security).  You would probably have more headaches from 64-bit than you would see actual performance increase on the basis of being able to use a little more of your RAM.  But in another year or so, once driver support has improved, and more 64-bit applications become available, it might be worthwhile.
