Voodoo along with falcon, alienware, dell XPS, and several other companies make the most rediculously overpriced machines. I would build my own rig, but if you can't I would go for ibuypower or cyberpowerpc. Both are much much cheaper.

If you want to buy your comp already complete,be prepared to pay for it. Otherwise, get the parts you've been suggested on your multiple threads and you can do it yourself in one afternoon.

Hey xXxCasanovaxXx, It's VoodooDan from HP. You definitely have a huge decision to make when purchasing a gaming system. From our perspective at HP, the Firebird 802 is a great option for gaming and it is more than capable of handling today's games. Prebuilt gaming rigs are usually expensive, but you're not going to find a system with a better bang for your buck. It gives you what you need to play most demanding titles, including quad-core Intel Core 2 processors, 4GB of DDR2-800 memory, and dual Nvidia Geforce 9800S video cards with 1GB of memory. If you're green conscious, the Firebird is also great for keeping energy costs down. The new system uses compact components usually found in notebook PCs, providing maximum energy usage. The system is also liquid cooled and extremely quiet (about 30 decibels at full load and 25 when idle).. The recent review in Wired can give you more details about it: http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2009/03/review-hp-fireb.html Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help. Cheers, VoodooDan

learn how to build it your self and put a ATI 4890 in it, then it will perform with the best.

Voodoo is an excellent gaming high end P.C. mfgr. Only prob, they are wayy $$$$$. Build your own or find a cheaper mfgr, like AVADirect. Cheaper does not = lesser performance.

And give **** service. The reason you go for a machine from Voodoo and the like is that when something does go wrong, you're taken care of properly, instead of like some AIDS-infected n00b that can't tell the difference between a USB port and a power plug. Your average "value" box people can't even hire someone that actually speaks proper english when you finally get past the 1-hour hold time. A premium OEM generally makes a point of ensuring their support queue is as short as possible by actually staffing enough people and sticking to a human-based answering instead of those horrific machinated systems that are guaranteed to make you angry enough to boil your own genitals in battery fluid if you have to take ONE MORE PROMPT TO GET TO A **** HUMAN BEING!!

Maybe not, but it generally calls to question the workmanship and quality of the parts the system's made of.

I have an Ibuypower rig. I can attest that their service is hirrid. Right out of the box, bad dvd drive. Took them a couple of weeks to instal a new one. Although free of chartge, their mishap caused me hours on the phone talking to the worst tech support guys you can imagine. I'll never go with them again, all over a dvd drive.
