Could this guy push MS back into the forefront of PC gaming? Might we see more PC games from Microsoft? Thoughts?

MS is definitely not in the forefront of PC gaming, if anything they are nonexistent in PC gaming. We've heard it a few times before, MS coming back to PC gaming. Never really anything surfaced from it. We know they have a few PC only games in the works including Flight and Age of Empires Online. Probably another few games in the pipeline yet to be released and they did produce a few good GFW Live sales, baby steps perhaps.

If anything, he'll probably try to push hardware, like gaming mice, keyboards, headsets, etc. as it's something MS will probably stick to. They make money in it, and it's an established brand in that regard. MS will have to be really pushed hard to get back into more high level gaming development. Getting rid of Ensemble was one of the dumbest things MS has ever done I think. Age of Empires 3 has sold I believe up to 3 million copies to date, and Halo Wars was a big hit on the 360. There is no telling what else they could've put out had the team not been let go. Age of Empires Online could be promising, as I hear some of the Ensemble staff is working on it, but I'm irked at MS about it still, and of course MS's release of the ACES Team (Flight Simulator series).

Too bad GFWL is still atrocious and they always seem to be promoting XBOX on it aswell. I will never install that crap on my PC i don't care how good their sales are, trust me i was very close to installing it when they had Max Payne on for a dollar. I'll just wait till steam has a crazy sale on them

In the past few years since the Xbox 360, Microsoft has done virtually nothing for PC gaming.

So it can't really get any worse.

Maybe they are going to smarten up and finally do something positive.
