I dont know about 6000 hrs, but I spent a lot, and I mean a lot of time playing Battlefield 2. Sure, its not a MMO, but still.

Seeing as how Diablo 2 has been out for... how long? 7 years? I can't help but feel that's not true. HMMMM..
I never found any interest in wow, played it for a month and a half and realized how boring it was, even when I made it to lvl 60 it was just as boring. The next day I gave my account to my friend, and swore off MMOs for good, but if you found fun in the game you obviously didnt waste anything, you paid for some fun, and you got it, no point in regretting it now.

Nobody knows how many ears have been created since then though....I did say its very possible to lose 10 of them. What is the point of this post? I wore a hat every day for a year but someone stole it, if anyone cares.
shamuk
noooooo the lost hat, here ill send you on a WoW fetch quest.
Find your hat and gain 10,000 exp
Current status: 0/1 hat(s) found.
Yeahhh...
If you didn't enjoy spending your time playing WoW, why did you continue to play it?
If you DID enjoy the time you spent, why are you complaining about it?
Nobody forced you to play a game you don't enjoy. Don't go crying to Blizzard because you have no self control.

LOL man that sucks! My love goes out to your hat..
What this wasting life nonsense? So, if you swap games, your not wasting life? But if its the same game... instead of paying 60 dollars every month for a NEW game.. it NOT wasteing your life? Lmao. Everything in this world people, there is going to be SOMEONE who thinks what your doing is wasteing your time. Do what you want guys! As long as you enjoy it. As long as its not killing people... or something.
I'm too scared to play WOW.-AK47-
It can be a very addictive beast, you have good reason to be afraid!
Hahah wasted his life a year on a wasteless boring mmorpg...Man get a life wow is so easy my five year old can play it....Shame though should really invest in a better mmorpg...Even everquest 2 is better than that dumbed down piece of crap...Oh look at me i go to a go to be slash 10 mobs..I lvl up an its not even challenging...Yippee hey i just summed your year away...Than you waste another hour of your life waiting for your guildmates to gather for a raid..Let me guess on a item youl never get????If your guild is also greedy...The item will fall to the first squade fighter cleric dps dealer so on...So maybe youl get that item you want in the next expansion when the leader doesnt need it...Did i just sum up your year???Shame isnt it...Than when another mmorpg comes out...Youl delete this character to go play that mmorpg...Than waste another five years of playing a mmorpg...FUN FUN FUN YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!Gladestone1

Agreed to the fullest. If you had fun playing WoW, no reason to complain!
People confuse me. How can people rip on the fact that someone spends so much time playing one game. Here's a couple points to be made.
Person A:
1. Plays WoW
2. Spends $50.00 to buy WoW and 15.00 or whatever it is a month for 2 years = Total $395.00
3. Enjoys the playstyle and yes even enjoys the grinding, which a whole lot of people find more fun that play BF2 or Halo twictch gaming.
Person B:
1. Buys all kinds of games and on average buys say 1.5 games a month at $50.00 = 75.00 monthly and a total of $1800.00 for two years
2. By the role of the dice of that 36 games bought that they only end up really like 24 of them. which means they completely wasted $600.00 on games they ended up not even liking.
Point being, it's not really expensive for people who play MMORPG's and I'll bet quite a bit cheaper than most other gamers because they spend so much time playing that one game. Yes they pay a small fee every month to continue playing it (unless it's guild wars), but then again they are not as tempted to go out and roll the dice on buying the next new fix of the month game quite as much.
Also even if you don't like MMORPG's and think grinding is stupid. It's a matter of personal taste and many people enjoy it very much. There's a whole huge percentage of the population in the world that thinks buying a game in general is a waste of money, and then you have gamers ripping on games that aren't to there personal taste. Sad.
If you think my 1.5 games a month is way to much, which it's not as there's plenty of people that spend that much. Myself included. How about something more conservative like 1 game every two months.
= $300.00 a year x two years = $600.00, (600.00 - 395.00 = 205.00 differance between the two people) which is still a third more than the MMORPG player is paying. And the MMORPG player is getting just as much fun out of the games as the other person. And isn't that what games are supposed to be about?
No more then you have wasted on other video games. If you had fun then that's all that matters.
Citan76
right you are,sir..if you have fun, then NO REGRETS...and give this dude a break,he loved (past tense) the game

Another moron alert..No moron was in the best EVERQUESt guild for years...Had the best loot in eq for years...Wow is just a dumbed down version of the great game everquest was...So before going and calling people idiot..Why not ask that person his refrences..Man if i can swear on here rofl...Think before you type...
Again, games are meant to enjoy and everyone has different taste. If you enjoy a game then play it. Obviously someone must enjoy WoW as there's 9 million accounts.
By the way, I played EQ, EQII, WoW, Anarchy Online, SWG, Guild Wars, and COH. I enjoyed them all and don't regret playing them at all. I'm currently trying LOTR online and just might give that a go for a while.
