Well i been thinking of getting a new card for while. but i was wondering should i wait for BFG tech to release the GTX 400 cards? after all BFG tech offers there cards at a cheaper price then the other GPU companys. and i do a 9800GT 512MB 256bit card and it works fine.

oh wait nvm i just saw on there web site they already have GTX 400 cards

so let me ask this should i get a BFG tech GTX 400 card? or should i do with evea?

i just looked again and im not sure but are does anyone know the BFG tech GTX 480 or 470 cards for sell yet?

Last I heard BFG was getting out of the Desktop video card business. But who knows. Newegg doesn't have any gpu's (old or new) from BFG.

you are correct bfg no longer sells video cards.. only laptops and power supplies now.. and actually if they manage to pull a rabbit out of their hat with the hd 6000 series they are tempted to go AMD (as by that time ati will be fully absorbed by amd and the lineup afterwords will no longer carry the ati logo) much like club 3d did oh so long ago during the fx 5000 series days.

rumors persist albatron will be coming with if bfg does decide to go amd as they dont turn much of a profit from gpu's and the bigger paycheck is their ultimate goal.

Who knows why they have the 470/80 up on their site. If you decide to go with Nvidia I would recommend EVGA and their lifetime warranty and customer/tech support. I know XFX decided to sit this round out with Nvidia gpu's.

correct another okay brand if evga isnt doing it for you is zotac.. zotac has gotten up in the world since its days as a bottom feeder. asus and galaxy also arent that bad.

BFG didn't list the 470 or 480 on their site until a bit after they announced they were getting out of the GPU making business. I know this because I was constantly checking their site (once or twice a day) before the GTX 470/480s were even released and they had nothing posted about the cards. After they removed their "Trade Up" option from their GPUs (though the info is still listed on their website as though you can still make use of the program, but I called and confirmed with a customer service rep that they no longer do the Trade Up), I came across their new web postings under their GPU section of the GTX 470 and GTX 480. This info was posted after the GTX 470/480 cards were released and were for sale to the public. At this point I had my hopes up of seeing BFG GTX 470/480 cards out there. Sadly though, a few weeks later I came across a posting here that lead to a news article about how BFG was getting out of the GPU business....which is now confirmed....at least for this round of GPUs. Who knows what their future holds for that department.

but i like EVGA my 8600GT was a EVGA card and i also like them. if BFG is out then ill go with a EVGA card. but i was thinking of getting a GTX 465. but then again ill save a bit more money and get a GTX 470 or a 480 instead :)

I wish that whole "selling power supplies" was still the plan. But they're totally done now. http://hardocp.com/news/2010/08/16/bfg_accepting_rmas_fermi_blamed_for_company_liquidation/
