A recent news article I read on gamespot ( I think it was last week) sayd something about video games not having (enough) sex in them. So I made this poll to see what are the games in which you would like to experience a more ... senzual aproach.

'Cause let's face it: it sucks having to Alt+F4 out of a game everytime you have to beat the monkey.

(hope I haven't said anything that whould get me banned ... i mean sex shouldn't bea tabu in games that receive the M rating)

I don't think the dude from factor 5 meant that they should make porn games. He just meant that sex is in movies, tv, and music and it was silly that it was such a touchy subject in games. He was upset because it made games seem like they were only for kids which is stupid. I totally agree with him. People have to realize that video games aren't justt for kids.

Hmmmm personally I dont really think we need it, but I wouldnt mind if they added some more stuff like that.

I just think how it is rediculous how we can have virtually all the gore we could ask for, but no nudity or sex. I mean I can watch Monster's Ball, a well-received movie, and see Halle Berri getting nailed by Billy Bob but I cannot have a video game with a romantic plot incorporating the physical expression of love? Thats just wrong...lwhats it called? a double standard sort of?

While that may be true you have to agree that the RPG factor can pe implemented in many games... take for example RTS games.... which received no votes in this poll... in games like StarCraft and Warcraft you get sort of attached to your characters ( mostly main characters like Kerrigen and Arthas or Illidan) so letting you go further... like letting two of your heroes romance, without just seeing some hearts apear over that heads..now that would be awsome ... let there be a cutscene with a night of passion between those characters (it would be awsome if it could be interactive but it would also feel strange with the controls of an RTS).

Hell, i'm not saying that all I want are porn games (at least not yet :roll: ),but gamers are of all ages(as in not all are kids).... and some sex scenes would certanly benefit the story aspect, as it would make the characters feel more human(I remember some interactive sex scenes in FAhrenheit/Indigo Prophecies that were soo cool even though you couldn,t see very much)

Ya, I heard they were even going to include a "rape and pillage" system but I think that got scrapped, and for good reason. Its OK to write about that stuff in the books, but not a game.

This was lost after adventure games disappeared. You got attached to your characters in those games and they had relationships with others. If you played Phantasmagoria (not a great game at all) there was a sex scene in that one. How about Max Payne between max and that chick (complete brain fart). They get hot and heavy for a part of the story. There's not need to show us anything, but relationships in games are what makes it more intriuing to play it all the way through to see what happens. Like in old school western shooter from LucasArts, called (yet another brain fart). When the sheriff's daughter gets kidnapped and his wife slaughtered and you run after the gang that kidnapped your daughter, you play that game with passion. Outlaw was the game. And like someone said in this post, Starcraft has relationships in it that help the story move the game along.

Did someone else say control a sex scene, that's just wrong, if you want to control a sex scene, put the controler or keyboard down and get yourself a girlfriend to have sex with, for gods sake, that's just horrible man.

Gamespot clearly doesn't know about the huge number of hentai games out there. Take a field trip to Japan :)

if it's contextual and makes sense within the world and the story, i think it's fine to put sex/nudity in any game

i don't really want gazungas flashing up on my screen every time i get a headshot in medal of honour airborne, but if i'm playing a story driven game and two people have sex, i don't see why not - provided it's there for a reason

just throwing nudity in for nudity's sake cheapens the experience of it, and it just gives anti-game groups more fuel to throw on the fire

Yeah the United States tends to censor more sex than it does violence. I'm pretty sure in Japan they can show nudity on cable(and no not skinemax). It's just a culture there and sex isn't considered as taboo but more commonplace and natural.

a lil sex in games is ok but dont go overboard
