I'm on the TF2 Steam site and the requirements don't seem to be much and I'm getting tired of the 360 version (only maps people ever play is 2Fort and Dustbowl -_-) so I'm really trying to upgrade. It says: Recommended: Pentium 4 processor (3.0GHz, or better), 1GB RAM, DirectX® 9 level Graphics Card

So would:

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150351

Be good enough?

Thanks.

If u have XP, go to Run, and type dxdiag. If Vista, type it in the search box on the start menu. I wouldn't get that processor, it's single core and it's weak for this time. And it would bottleneck your GPU.

You definitely shouldn't get a pentium 4, Source engine is very cpu intensive and that cpu is very weak, graphics card is fine.

That definetely destroys the P4, but the problem is at the motherboard. Since he was looking for Intel Cpu, his motherboard supports only Intel processors :S

Get a cheap dual core, like the E2160. I have one (for sale) that was easily enough for 90something percent of games.
