Yup, Oblivion for sure.
Spore, too. I don't care what other people think of it. Especially when you are just getting back into PC gaming. It's a great little title.
The Witcher -A very good rpg, with a well told story and some interresting characters, very atmospheric
Borderlands -A fun game that does not take itself too seriously, good gameplay, and well crafted, awesome art design in motion
Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines -Oldest, still looking nice enough, one of the best RPGs of newer time, even if you dislike Vampires it is worth getting, since the game is as much if not more about the people in the shadows when no one is watching
Company of Heroes - I dislike ww2 games, alot... But CoH is simply such a good rts that the setting becomes a secondary factor for the incredible gameplay
Sins of a Solar Empire - The other must have RTS, it is slower, space themed, and has this odd calm rythm to it, it looks and plays incredibly well, well worth looking into, especially if you liked games like homeworld (altho they are not exactly identical
S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC and CS - More of a Survival game then a FPS game, these games (especially the first one) can be creepy. Only other game series outside Systemshock, where you count the sad small pile of ammo you have left, while you sit in a dark corner, with an opressive and dangerous world around you, just waiting for an excuse. It is VERY atmospheric
I think most of these games will Qualify, I think all of them came out 2k4+ so You would likely not have playied them yet if you havent been PC centric since the PS2 era.
