Dirt 2 Gta4 LFD2 etc....Cod actually plays well as is as does LFD2 but sounds get cut off sometimes in the video parts. I will buy more games after I can play them...lol
actually I can playDirt 2 on ultra settings, but the sounds in the video parts just skip[s as does the video freeze occasionally during those parts as well. weird I know. But that game is so flawed anyway, although it could be my cpu that keeps me from starting the 2nd race...idk. I tried the patch and it wont even install for some reason.
instead of buying a whole new rig or trading, why not just fix urs? whast ur current specs? also that sounds like a drivers issue with the sound cad.actually I can playDirt 2 on ultra settings, but the sounds in the video parts just skip[s as does it freeze during those parts as well. weird I know. Emachines T6410 Athalon 64 3200 (2.19 ghz single core) board is a MSI RS480M I think939chipset or something. t cant even accept any kind of dual core as far as I know. I tried to overclock and the software one dessnt work on mine and my bios does not alloow either. My case is small esp now that I have this much larger card and this psu with a ton of wires. board in micro atx, and with the side panel on it feels really hot in there, as there is no real ventillation or way to add more case fane. Case is really small at 14.5x14x7.
when I got this computer 4 yrs ago I thought it was great and fast, just added a GeForce 6600 and then later a Creative XFI card. I really didnt play games much then. But instead of getting a ps3 or xbox I decided to do it the pc way. This pc cant even play blu-ray movies :(
it can by "other means" anyway just try to sell ur computer if u can. and have the forum build u a gaming computer for ur budget! or keep ur computer for spare parts like the HDD and dvd rom but still. i have seen budgets with 300$ up to 3000$ and all builds were good.when I got this computer 4 yrs ago I thought it was great and fast, just added a GeForce 6600 and then later a Creative XFI card. Most people's computers (even gaming rigs) don't have a blu-ray drive. You can find them for about $60 now, so I added one about 6 months ago.
I read on the Cyberlink website that u need a dual core to play 1080p. I tried to watch 1080p content on the internet and it would freeze up a lot, and cpu usage tacks out at 100% . I also use my pc as the source for my theater I am trying to build. I built my own screen etc... Blu-ray would be nice, but its another reason for me to upgrade now.
Hey, I suggest something like craigs list.. something where it is a little more secure, where you know what your getting into...
hypothetical situation.... someone tells you about this awesome rig... you made up you mind and you buy it.. he isn't sending ANYTHING until you pay.. so you pay.. 5 days later a broken down 1988 computer shows up. WHAT DO YOU DO?
all the emails and such won't help you in the court of law my friend!
all i'm saying is the economoy is in the crapper and lots of people could see this as an opportunity...
maybe someone has a dying gandma or something... Hard times can do a number to peoples morals, keep this in mind please...
HELL TIMES CAN BE GREAT AND PEOPLE WOULD STILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU
be careful.
edit: and to the people selling him a computer.. all this could apply to him too O.o o.O
Ebay is good because there is accountability for both the buyer and the seller, especially when you use Paypal. It's pretty hard for someone to pull a fast one on you when there's tracking, delivery confimation, a record of the item description, etc.. Paypal has a practice now where they actually hold the money until the item has been delivered and/or the buyer has left positive feedback. As a seller, I don't like this because it puts me at the disadvantage of not having access to my money for 21 days if the buyer forgets to leave positive feedback.. but for the buyer it's very secure.
To the TC-- Good luck in your upgrade quest. I'm sure something good will come up. If it doesn't happen fast enough for you, you know I have a nice gaming rig for sale! :D

Thanx I have been lucky for the most part so far. I try to gauge a persons prior feedback 1st.
