So I got WAR a little while ago and upgraded to 1GB of RAM, but the game is running painfully slowly. It also crashes every once in a while without warning. I'm running XP on a Compaq and I have a diamond s120 256MB graphics card, which i think is powerful enough to run the game. So is it just a question of getting more RAM?

Go to this website man www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Then select the game you want to check (WAR), then it will show what you have in your PC and see what is good enough and what isnt. Then also check the RECCOMENDED section instead of just the Minimum Requrements one. The site isnt perfect, but it might help ya out to see what part of your PC might be causing the slow downs.

Also.. is it just this game? Or is it others aswell? If your PC is just not running well in general then try scanning your pc for problems, viruses, do a defrag or reformat. If not then just check out that site above!

Awesome, thank you for that site!
I passed all the minimum requirements by enough but the question still remains what could I most improve on to get rid of the slow framerates? almost everything was even on the minimum scale.
you mentioned checking out a recommended section....what did you mean? I can't seem to find anything like that on the site.

Start by turning all graphical options to as low as possible as your computer is near the minimum end of the scale. Also, it won't be a bad idea to start thinking of buying a new computer.
