If all the good forces in the 40k universe died out, which evil faction would end up taking over the galaxy?

The evil factions are

Chaos

Tyranids

Necrons

Orks

Dark Eldar

How is any faction "good". Space Marines are a bunch or ignorant humans who only care about themselves, they are just as irrational as the rest when it comes to diplomacy. I think the nids, necrons and orks could possibly take over the galaxy.

There is no good army in wh40k, and it would be a tie between orks and tyranids.

Tyranids, without the imperium to fight with them theres no chance of anyone else taking them out.

No they arnt, there dark eldar, they have nothing to do with the chaos armies.

And Chaos wouldnt stand a chance, since if all the order races died out, chaos would have no new recruits, or new equipment, not to mention if all those people of the imperium died tehre goes quite a bit of chaos's power.

In 40k there is no 'good' Its all based upon each sides own interpretation of what is and isnt. Personally I find thats what makes the lore so compelling.

Aren't the Dark Eldar closely related to the Chaos god slannesh, or influenced by some sort of chaos power? Hell, didn't the Eldar have something to do with the creation of the eye of terror or something along the lines of chaos gods? Its been a while since i have read up on any lore.

IIRC, the eldar accidently created slaanesh, but neither of them worship slaanesh, she likes to devour eldar souls.

in fantasy I believe some dark elves worship slaanesh, but 40k ones dont.

No they arn't it depends entirely on the Chapter.. Chapters like the Space Wolves, Ultramarines and Raven Guard all care for their people and protect them.. Tyranids would probably win.

Uh, no, they dont, Dark Eldar have nothing to do with Slaanesh, Eldar dont like Slaanesh.

Just becasue they share similarities with slaanesh doesnt mean they worship them.

"Thousands of years ago, shortly after the fall of the Eldar race, the Eldar and Dark Eldar responded to their crisis in two very different ways. Where the Eldar tried to preserve their race through self-control and discipline, the Dark Eldar chose another route. The Dark Eldar believed that they could stave off the predations of the Chaos Gods by giving them what they wanted: unceasing pain and blood. If the Dark Eldar could torture and slay the lesser races, then perhaps the Dark Gods would be satiated and ignore the Eldar race."

Doesn't sound like worship to me.

Yeah.

There is an extremely blurry light between what is right and wong in the warhammer universe.

I mean, they all try and kill eachother without even ATTEMPTING to come to any peaceful solutions.

Hell, you know what? Even imperial guard, and space marines, which both server under the imperium of man, fight eachother.

Tau is the only faction who has the right idea.

BUt I think tyranids.
