regardless, that's what they did in the lore. the Tyranids are a completely unstoppable force, and the only reason they haven't 'won' is that they don't really bother to. it's usually they show up and whatever star system they arrive at is totally boned, iirc.

Actually, I believe that the Tyranid strategy would be near useless against the Necrons in any longterm war.

nah necrons can preaty much kick their ass, even nids know this that's why they are avoiding tomb worlds
Necrons are just waking up.. Tyranids are amazing in numbers.. Supposedly the massive broods are scouting parties to a much larger invasion fleet.. Chaos may win as well.. Orks if they ever agree.. Or Imperium if they find more standard contstruct designs

This..Its pretty much stalemate as no one army is stronger then the others... thats why it is a never ending war...
