http://www.examiner.com/x-27679-Vancouver-Video-Game-Industry-Examiner~y2010m4d10-Millions-of-Warhammer-Fees-Leave-Many-In-Dept

Earlier this week, many Warhammer Online players awoke to see multiple fees in their bank accounts from EA's billing system. With upwards of 22 fees in some cases, some people are really taking this latest hit hard, with the charges totalling up to $500; which is more than many can afford. In one rare case, the fees even totalled up to $2000 dollars. This latest bug has come at a tough price to the already struggling game.

Located on on the Warhammerforumsis a thread, "Billing error,"that has become commonplace for gamers to vent their fury with the company, and how much distress they are in. Many of them are upset with the lack of personal attention they are receiving from EA, after their monthly fee skyrocketed to 12-22 times the normal price.

In many cases, this extra payment which has totalled to up to $329.78, has not only emptied bank accounts, but ruined credit scores and has caused many people to lose their insurance. The lack of effort it seems Mythic is putting into the problem has angered the community, and they arent afraid to let their thoughts out.

I smell a lawsuit, a few of them.... this is why I don't like to use my CC for online stuff. the funny thing is the opposite situation would never happen, these companies would never make a mistake and give you money, or forget to charge you....

I hope warhammer doesn't die =\ I personally like the game and think it captures a decent amount of the warhammer world. Although I think they could have done better with the overall immersion. It's still probably my favorite mmo between everquest 2 and itself.

Bad luck.

Here's to hoping that they make Warhammer Online free to play for the whole game. Not like they're gonna update it with any new patches soon.

Damn. That kind of scares me. I think I may stick to prepaid cards if I ever get into an subscription MMO.

When the game came out in Australia the exe to run the game didn't work due to a mass DvD error, making it unplayable. Instead of bringing out a patch that forced you to download the fixed exe, you had to go to mythic website and look for ages and ages until you finally found the fixed exe download and then replaced the old exe with the fixed one.
