It was fun dont get me wrong, it just wasn't worth playing for long periods of time.Wasdie
Pretty much sums up MMO's in general, unless you have no plans to do anything with your life, or are a complete slob who doesn't leave his seat all day/night and are a chain smoker.
I got burned out on MMO's thanks to WoW and will never pick up another one now that I look back at it, excessive grinding for pointless ingame weapons and armour. Sadly though theres people who will pay for GOLD in WoW instead of making it ingame.Lakrum
Weird, because WoW is one of those rare MMO's where you dont need to grid a lot unless only thing you want is to be max lvl in short period of time + follow leveling guides (joanas,or mybe brian's)
Luckily, there are people who actualy enjoy playing game, and this way you dont need to grid there is soooo much things to do
Especialy during hollidays when those funny quests appear or you can do snowball fights
its awesome
But back to warhammer, well i expected that but well
I agree with Lidve.Â
People think WoW sucks cause it's all grind.... but it's all grind if ALL you want to do is Max your level. There are lots of other things to do. Quests, storylines, social aspect etc etc
I sometimes log in and not even go on quests....I explore, hang out with WoW buddies.... etcÂ
I'm not saying WoW is the greatest game ever created, cause it's not....but isnt as bad as everyone here thinks

I'll just assume that you've never tried to do anything at level 70 in BC. The entire endgame is a rep grindfest. Glad I'm done with that crappy game.Like always....always thinking about endgame
The journey also matters you know...not just the destination
I will admit that the actual journey of leveling can be really fun but isn't the whole idea of an MMO to become better and stronger? Sure you are playing to have fun but my idea of fun isn't spending 6 hours a day killing a certain mob for some lame drop or something. To each his own I suppose.Like always....always thinking about endgame

I understand WoW can become repetitive and tedious....but doesnt every game go through that.
I don't play that much either...if I feel Im playing too much WoW or it is boring me...I stop and play something else

Well anybody can pick apart just about any genre of game if they wanted. FPS games are boring cause it's all the same, walk around, shoot this, shoot that. Diablo 2 is boring because it's constant Baal runs to get some drop. Not that I agree with that sentiment, I'm just using that as an example to people saying, "MMO's are just grind fests". While I agree there is grind when it comes to rep and things in games like WoW, there are certainly other things. Joining a good guild makes it all the more worthwhile. The fact is, MMO's aren't for everyone. The same holds true to every genre.
However, MMO's are increasingly losing ANY sort of creativity they could possibly have. They seem to all want to jump onto the WoW formula, only tweak it a bit. "Come play our game! It's like WoW only with better PvP!" Both AoC and WAR tried to cash in on this angle. Obviously WAR did a lot better in that regard than AoC. Compare the PRE CU and NGE SWG. That was completely different than WoW or EQ. What happened to those style of MMO's?
I hope some of the other upcoming MMO's can conjure up a different experience, because if all I'm getting is WoW with an enhanced graphics engine and better PvP, well then no thanks.

You completely cut out the entire point of his ENTIRE posts, thank you for adding nothing and pointing something that was compeltely irrelevent and can be considered trolling..

WHY SO SERIOUS?it might be declining, but xfire doesn't prove much, every MMO has initial launch momentum.
Say, if I'm a subscriber to WAR, but I play 16 hours a day at launch, but only 2 hours a day right now, the xfire data is definitely going to go down, but that doesn't mean the amount of subscribers going down.
a lot of War player just don't have enough time to stay in the game all the time.
Warhammer is still has a good size community, and so far Im still hooked on it, but Im loosing interest in advancing in the game. There isnt much to do besides scenarios, and keep sieges rarely occur during the hours I play.RedMasterDX
I agree. I'm slowly losing interest and getting bored. No offence but Guild Wars held my attention for a longer period of time. For me, it has nothing to do with the Lich King, because I quit WOW after nearly 2 years. WAR lacks immersion. It needs more PVE content because apparently, the RVR and scenarios will eventually get old, and boring. I understand there are Lairs and stuff you can do but I'm talking about being able to fish at 2am in the morning in the middle of a frozen lake, is what I miss. Granted, I'll never go back to WOW unless they make WOW2 on a new engine, it's just that WAR lacks PVE content that it sodesperately needs. The majority of the people that play MMORPGs stay for the PVE content. PVP has always been second, next to PVE. If I'm wrong, sorry, but that's how I feel personally. I'll probably try out Knights of the Blazing Sun and Dark Elf Black Guard classes and see if that keeps my subscription going,

I agree 100%. People blast WoW for it's PvP, but really, PvE is what held the game together for so long anyway. PvP in an MMO is going to eventually get old if that's the primary focus of the game. I mean really, how many BG's, Seiges, etc. can you do before it becomes repetitive? RvR or not, it's going to get stale if that's pretty much the only thing to do when you log in.
