Warhammer Online-Cant wait!

I stopped getting excited for it when I found out it's not coming out until eternity ends.

...but yeah, It'll be awesome if Mythic doesn't screw things up like they did Dark Age.

Same I have 2 friends who are in beta and they say it's like DAOC 1.5 with a Warhammer Skin and ripped off soo much from WOW in the process. Both of them don't bother playing anymore and say it's sooo bad and looking at the video gameplay of it I have to agree lol it's just plain dated and bad.

It's more DAOC than Warhammer anyways, i'll hold more hope for Warhammer 40k.

Well if it sucks and has no chance being good cause of core mechanics then ditch it.

I can't speak for the other poster, but I myself am not a child. Being someone who is making such an assumption, I'd be quick to assume otherwise about yourself... but wouldn't want to make an ass out of myself. I have to agree with the poster above, if the core game stinks... even to someone who was very interested in the game and it's possible future, why test it? I'm sorry, but unless I'm paid, I'm not going to keep playing something that lacks fun as much as Warhammer, and I'm not alone. I suppose you might feel privileged enough to recieve your golden beta key that you would play any stinky piece of poo game 8 hours a day regardless of how it is or how much worse the developers keep making it... because you are just that hardcore and understand exactly what "beta" really means.

Apparently MANY users feel this way because almost no one is playing the beta. I'm not sure how many keys they gave out exactly, and I know it is very limited, but I am sure it's more than the 3 players you'll be lucky to see online on the one server when you play. Especially considering 4 friends of mine in this small town recieved keys... either we're a really lucky town or there are a lot more then 10 keys floating around there.

When I played, I left feedback, a lot of it. It's hard not to actually as they ask every time you complete a quest/gain a couple levels or kill a new type of monster.... and I do/did care about the game so wanted to be heard. This game was due out last October, and is NO WHERE NEAR a state where it is going to be fun to play. So when I watch the podcasts and see them talking about how much positive feedback they are getting in beta... thats when I actually start to take offense, because the people in beta aren't happy with the game.

The game sucks right now, and would take YEARS and a complete overhaul to get to a point that I would be interested in playing, that is why I complain. After over 15 years of being a little too into the gaming industry for my own good you can tell the difference between changes that fit into the "it's beta, that could still change" category and changes that fit into the "no way they'll change that in time" category. No one is spoiling warhammer but Mythic, there are a lot of die hards that are going to buy this game, they'll find out first hand what a steamer it is.... no one is going to skip buying it because beta players complain about it, thats what beta players do.

There are so many innovations in Warhammer Online, I have been a beta tester for months and this game entirely rapes world of bullcrap. Wow feels like a Job to me, Warhammer immediately feels endgame compared to Wow. The low lvl gear looks great compared to wow scrubs, you can actually tint and dye your armor, you can have a blast killing players at lvl 1 if you so choose as well. Warhammer Online brings Unity to all players in a much more fun way than Wow or any other online game iI've ever played. World of Warcraft is a great game , but for people like myself that have been there and done that Wow could be free to play and i swear to God i wouldnt play it at all. Warhammer delivers a much more fun experience than AoC also imho. I'm not here bashing any game im just saying for people like myself Warhammer Online Age of Reckoning shall be the game to play for years to come

It's sad to see that WAR fans always attack WoW when talking about their game. You know you're not doing WAR any good, right? Instead of creating appeal for the many players from WoW you're creating enemies from them.Erlkoenig

What makes it worse is they seem to think they are above WoW players for liking a PvP centric game :roll:, and then label us the fanboys :lol:

Uh..the Preview Weekend has already come to a close. Open Beta is up next.

Also, the game underwent some major changes late in development from what I hear. Combat got a pretty big overhaul, though I wasn't in the CB, so I don't know the specifics.

Give it another shot if you have Open Beta access. I don't see how any MMO fan could dislike the game in its current state, unless they're committed to doing only PvE content...

I thought the preview weekend is what was coming with pre orders?moshakirby18

Yup. It took place just this past weekend, though.

Open Beta will be more, uh, "open." There's many ways to get in. If you were a Closed Beta tester, I'd assume you're granted access automatically.

The games great and it'll be great, don't listen to these people, a few(not all) of them have some need inside to bash anything besides WoW. Most of them havn't even played it either (even SOME of them who claim they have PROBABLY), I have, its great, everyone should check it out when its out. It's gotten a lot of good previews and won many awards from various events. It'll end up having a strong community and become even better with patches down the road, next big MMO to look out for.
