I made my purchase via D2D. I like steam and all...but at least I can burn myself a hard copy using D2D. I wasn't expecting 2 large 7 and 6 GB files though.

Although now I am starting to wish I bought the retail version, this is a huge download.
Just a FYI for everyone. It is taking 3-4 hours at 400-500 KB/s, and that is not inlcuding Crysis Wars which is a separate download.

Not with Crysis or Warhead.It does have SecuROM and almost all games have it, but it does not have an install limit.
Buying mine retail :) 600kb/s isn't much for such huge games and I am pretty impatient.

If only I could buy a retail copy, and then register the copy also on Steam. I'd even be willing to pay $5 to have my purchase cross over.
Am I the only one that seems to think this game hasn't been optemized from the original what so ever? Gonna wait till the community releases a optemizing installer before I play this one.

Im pretty sure you can backup any data on DVDs with steam...I did it with HL2 + CS:S once..
Hmm the ice areas run worse for then than in the first game. I mean I'm only getting 10-15 fps in these areas. In the first it only dipped into the upper lower 20s. It's been fun so far but I don't know if I can play through this level at such low frames. My rig is better than the one they say will run it at gamer settings. Maybe they only meant dx9.
I just got done with my first play. It isnt as optimized as most ppl were hopeing but it has improved. Im maxing it out @ 1680 x 1050 with 2x aa and its still rather playable. I think it looks better than the original. :D
Think twice before you get this on Steam. People are reporting that you need a CD key to play online and Steam didn't provide one. Deihmos
I've checked the Warhead forums on SteamPowered.com and can't find a single thread at all about this. The closest I've found is some people having an issue with Warhead requesting a regestration key.
