well i was about to purchase warz after watching a gameplay video (which is obviously a knock off of dayZ) because it seemed pretty awesome, but then i decided to watch reviews and more on it. Seems there terms of service was copied off of league of legends which upon reviewe it was, and they supposedly opened 2011, and that's when it was "released" when the website was created in summer. Of 2012. Next, they said there servers hold up to 150 per game, with 70 being the opening requirment, while watching videos 3 monthes old, the servers were max 30 -_-. Well now that time passed it's out of alpha i believe and updates have been released, it looks fun through gameplay videos, but is it really worth the $15? Does anyone else have any experience through this game?

Check out the steam forums, check youtube videos and seach google about it.

The game itself is terrible, gameplay sucks, the gameworld is very linear, the atmosphere sucks, graphics are not very good and its just not fun. On top of all that the devs have done alot of scam style things (such as lying about whats in the game in teh stema store features, bannign peopel so they have to buy the game again,etc..).

Stay far far away imo, but go ahead and give it a try if you must, dont say I didnt warn ya.

Check videos and steam forum first.

I guess I'm surprised Valve put it on Steam if there are this many allegations against. Granted, they're allegations, but I'd think they'd have some kind of quality control, no?

That's a lie they made up when people started saying that. They also said they took ideas from DayZ, so you can't make a game before it and then steal ideas from it. DayZ is also in better condition which makes me think WarZ wasn't in production very long, it's just a quick cash grab on the sudden zombie MMO influx.

Most of that is bandwagon hating of people who would otherwise have no connection at all to the game, partly because Day Z has so much community support and WarZ is obviously trying to capitalize on that. Steam does allow junk to get released occasionally though, and they always have. Heck, I remember Empire Total War barely worked until a year after release.

The devs of Empire Total War did not lie on the games store page to get people to buy it.

Features they listed on the stoers page where in the game, cant say the same for The WarZ.

Yes they did. The game didn't function. They didn't advertise that. Many games launch broken or certain features are broken. This isn't much difference. The difference is this one has gotten a lot of attention.

Even if it wasn't a lie, it's not exactly the most original idea for a game. So I'm not sure what the vs point is between these two. Both are a bit of a mess, just one a lot more than the other.

My friend bought it and a copy for me, HAHAHHAHA we played for three hours today and I was laughing my head off at how $h1t the game is. From the very beginning alot of options are plain greyed out, friends option doesnt work, to create a clan you need to have at least 20 hours of game time LOL, many more things. We ran down a hill and at the bottom our health dropped by half, as if we had taken falling damage. Stay away from this game, it is a big scam, seems like 3 months of work was put into it.

Yep you said it well, the features were broken but at the very least they were there. The War Z don't have the key features they listed on the store page implemented broken or not, it's a flat out lie! Just take a look at the menus, there ara a lot of things greyed out so you can't accesse the most basic "features" such as skill trees, private servers, friends interface, etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtKAm3nzg6I Putting the whole scam thing aside, this should give you an idea of how bad the game is. Not worth spending a penny on it. You don't even need to listen to TB, just watch how bad it is.

I wont be getting WarZ.. heard stuff about people outside the US being cheated out of a serial key. They pay, page doesn't load and they receive no email. Then when they try contacting customer support and posting in the forums they are ignored and are screwed out of their money. While I am in the US I wont support any devs that cheat customers like that. I hope their game fails bigtime as a result of taking peoples money and not letting them play the game they paid for.

worst part, is that if the game doesn't bring in the income they wanted, they are just going to shut it down. So all those paying customer, get screwed over once again.

Yea, so? Every company would do the same thing. It's not like it would set a precedent.

Other companies do it a few years down the road when the game isn't bringing in money as it used to. These guys are willing to just shut it down in six months.

"they plan to HALT DEVELOPMENT AND ABANDON THE GAME in SIX months if revenue is not enough for them (I.E. People are not buying GC and spending the **** out of it) -- take note, if they do not get ENOUGH revenue. They will have enough revenue to pay for the game development for over a year at this point in time already, but if they don't get enough to give themselves regular raises they will stop making the game and shut down the servers and website."

- Quote from the Ex-mod

Maybe it's made up, maybe it's not... but the rest of the bs they've pulled, I wouldn't be surprised.

That's precisely what happened to All-Points Bulletin though. It shut down a mere two months after its release.

Don't think anyone was crying scam then.

(While APB was re-released after finding a buyer, the point remains that a dev wouldn't keep a game going out of the kindness of their hearts)

That's because APB's production values was in the excess of 100 million dollars, and it had a craptacular launch, and flopped epicly, and they simply decided to cut their losses. But at least it represented that SOME effort had gone into development.
