I am thinking about water cooloing my GPU. I have never done it before, but as I will most likely pick up a console this year and wait to upgrade my PC next year.. I though now would be a good time to try it out?

If it goes well, maybe I start my next build as a water cooled one from the start.

I have gtx590, and was wondering if anyone had a recomemnded list of suppliers for the parts i will need and an idea of cost.

As I am just trying it out, it can all be noob entry level stuff.

Thanks for any help

If you only have one 590, then just use a CPU waterclock. Custom GPU waterblocks are entirely too expensive. Since you're just starting out, you can likely just mount a cheap all in one CPU liquid cooler onto it. Or would you rather build a nice, custom loop? I can help you through the process either way...

I wasn't aware that a CPU cooler would be compatible. Good to know. So a h100 or similar would work?

It won't be unless you plan to custom make a mounting system or try to jimmy-rig it which would be a bad idea.

It will definitely work. You would just have to get a little creative mounting it. Personally, I've never used a traditional GPU waterblock on my videocards or motherboards... qxlb.jpg2zxu.jpgkedk.jpg

It's well worth it. With no fans on my radiator, my 1.1GHz 560 Ti temp maxed out in the 60's. And I ran my 7900gt at 725MHz, which was higher than I've ever seen...

Thanks for the info and screenshots... The gtx590 has 2 chips.. so I would need 2, and from the pictures, they need an in and out.. so each chip would have 2 tumes - 4 in total. So I guess I would have to think about that. I guess the custom ones only have one in and one out.. I will have a look at pricing. thanks. so i would need a pump, motor, tubes and fittings right? Thanks

well these look interesting as alternatives to a specific kit..

the gtx590 has one screw hole that is out of alignment though.. So not sure I could just use a 4 legged one?
