No idea why, but I've been getting 200+ ping lately. It's pretty terrible, and it's not like I'm paying for rock bottom speeds or anything.

That stuffed up my internet connection for some reason. I had to system restore.Try downloading and installing this. It helped me lower my already low ping. :D

I think it did something to the TCP Packets that made the connection overflow with transfer of data or something along those lines.
If you are very competitive with online gaming, you might consider the Killer 2100 gaming network card. I plan on buying one when I build my next computer. The main advantage to this card is that it has its own processor. That means that your system processor doesn't have to do anything to control the network card. You won't have ping jumps because of your system processor being bogged down with the game.
