Weird issue, pretty sure its GPU related.

Ok so this is the second time its happend.

Basically ill just be using my pc and suddenly it will swap from the windows interface the the windows 7 basic as opposed to the Aero one. My graphics card clock goes up and i can here the capacitor whine that it makes in high fps sequences, like the crysis menu's. (you may or may not know what this is)

What could be causing this? All of my games are playing fine and everything. Is this maybe driver related.

Any help is good.

Lol, that's odd. That actually happened to me just now. Aero was only activated again after like 10 minutes.

I have crossfire'd 4890's, if that helps.

Wow thats strange lol, dont know why it would do that seeing as we arnt even on similar graphics cards.

I did download some windows updates, maybe its a windows side glitch?

Might be; I just downloaded some updates as well. How did you install your Windows, upgrade or fresh install?

upgrade, but i did it so it didnt keep any of my old stuff.

You see, that's where I think it messed up. I upgraded as well from the RC1 to Professional, so something may have occurred there. I've also been noticing a lot more blackscreens and crashing compared to what I had with the RC1, so I'm debating just doing a clean install.
