my monitor is really werid its fairly new crt monitor its max resolution is 2048x1568pixels but it weirs cuz in the middel everything gets streched out and at the top and bottom it gets squished is there any way to fix this and its only when im not playing games so thats good but its gettin anoying

You mean 2048x1536? Set it to that resolution, that could be your problem right there. If you're already at that resolution, kick back to 1600x1200 and see if the problem persists.

Also check the actual settings on your monitor - you might have some sort of excess vertical stretch going on or something, since CRT monitors are widely adjustable.

well the problem is my video card does not supprot that resolution agp 6800 but im soon uprgarding mobo to a socket 478 with pci express with 8600 gt and i've tried abjusting it many time but ill try 1600x1200

Although I've never seen any other ratio for a CRT monitor, are you sure that it's 4:3?

im not sure if its not it woldnt be anything drastic from 4:3 how do you change the ratio
