I turned my computer on and this what happened.

-Booting up

-Then one long beep

-Then 3 small beeps

-Continued to boot up

-Windows jingle came on

-But I can't see anything on the screen (says it can't detect computer)

I've checked all the plugs, everything was fine yesterday.

Check the motherboard POST code manual, it should document the meaning of the beeps.

IIRC 1 long and 3 short beeps means a memory error on AMI BIOS's and a video error on Award BIOS's.

It would be very helpful if you listed your full system specs, otherwise its very hard to properly diagnose your system.

Memory failure. Try reseating your memory by switching the sticks of memory into different sockets. If that doesn't work try booting your rig with only 1 stick of memory. If that still doesn't work move the stick of memory into each socket and attempt to boot with it in each one. Try that with all of your memory. If for some reason that still doesn't work you need to run a memory diagnostic on each stick of your memory. When your run the diagnostic you need to do it with only 1 stick of memory in your system at a time in order get the most accurate test. Let me know if you need anything else.

I've just taken it to a repair shop. And they said it might be a memory problem. Make sense because it didn't affect the Hard Drive cause I could hear windows in the background. I hope it's just the memory and not the whole motherboard.

Oh yeah. There is 2 new games that just came out in Australia. Batman Arkham Asylum and Call Of Juarez Bound In Blood.

Which one would you pefer ?

If it were a memory problem, Windows isn't likely to load properly either. Video card strikes me as the most likely problem.
