I just checked the specs and I need to get an AGP graphics card now, any suggestions. Like before price range from around $50-100.

Personally I wouldn't spend any more money supporting a dead expansion slot. Since I assume this is an older PC it would probably be safe to say that the CPU and RAM are outdated as well. I recommend to start saving up for all new insides if you want to seriously game on a PC.General_X
not necissarily so ive seen decent 775 socket and am2+ systems with agpx8 slots.. dont go calling it a lost cause yet.. whats ur cpu like?

It is Windows Vista with Intel Core 2 Quad Processor, 4gb of ram, 640gb hard drive, but I guess the makers didn't see it as a gaming computer and you don't need above an AGP slot if nobody is even gonna bother playing games, but I saw a few decent AGP cards surprisingly.
Ya this is the one I think I'll buy. Good price, but I think a DDDR3 would be nice. Spend the extra money and get the 4670 1gb. And geese a quad core in a system with a freaken AGP slot.GIGABYTE GV-R465D2-1GI Radeon HD 4650 1GB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 8X HDCP Ready Video Card$79.99

I want the 4670 because DDR3 helps for the more demanding games. I live in Canada and the best price is around $125 including shipping and handling, which is affordable for me I guess.[QUOTE="IvanElk"][QUOTE="FPS1337"] Ya this is the one I think I'll buy. as a guy who also lives in canada 125 bucks for an hd 4670 is hair overpriced but considering its the best agpx8 gpu its not a half bad price. but if you want to find a happy medium between the hd 4650 and 4670 the 3850 cant be beat :P
your PC can't be 1 to 2 years old and be built with AGP... not even dell sticks boards with AGP slots in since like 2006.
We got it only a few years ago. It has an Intel Core 2 Quad Processor which is basically one of the best you can have, so I guess it wasn't intended for gaming at all.your PC can't be 1 to 2 years old and be built with AGP... not even dell sticks boards with AGP slots in since like 2006.

If you brougth it new two years ago theres a big chance it's got no AGP but a PCIe.your PC can't be 1 to 2 years old and be built with AGP... not even dell sticks boards with AGP slots in since like 2006.

AGP was ended already five - six years ago, but boards were still alivalable long after that but two years ago it gotta be PCIe.
CPU's can be upgraded as long as the socket fit's and the motherboard support the CPU.

yeah, if someone sold AGP bords 1-2 years ago, it was an honest ripoff : ]
May I ask what brand of computer you purchased?
I havent seen a new computer sold with AGP slots since the early pentium 4 days
Post your model number. What alot of people are saying about AGP is true. And you rarely saw Dell or any other manufacturer ever include empty AGP slots with their computers. AGP slots were almost always limited to their higher-end models that were sold with video cards in them.ProudLarryAcer Aspire, Model: MCP73PV Version: NVIDIA MCP73 I really hope it's PCI-E but I checked my system information and the system slots are 1 PCI, 1 AGP.

Your power supply is only 300W...are you sure you're only willing to spend up to $100 for a new video card? Because, like before, the only card you're going to be able to run is a HD 4670.
