Western Games

There was something...but it wasn't really a western. It looked like a western, until the sort of Nazi-ninjas-with-flamethrowers turned up.
I can't remember what it was called. :(

Anyway, if you haven't played it already, you should probably check out Call of Juarez (it came out Dec '06 here in Australia, but it still looks great).

How good would it be if we had a really good Western FPS again? Remember Outlaw? I only had the demo, lol somethings never change. biggest_loser

Outlaws was AWESOME. I too only had the demo but really wanted the full game.. just never saw it at any shops. There was one game that came out not too long ago. Can't remember the name, it got mixed reviews. Had two Charecters you play as.. one was more stealthy and the other was run and gun.. oh wait.. wasn't that the name? Gun?

I might of had the demo of this if im thinking of the right game. Was the outlaw demo the one where you could roam around a western city, and there was a UFO underground and stuff?

Yew bet yer ass I remember Outlaws. Best damn Western game in this here corner o' time, I te' ya what. Ain't nobody nohow reckoned jus' yet that 'nother game followin' in them same footsteps would bring home the bacon like a Ingine raid on a pig sty, and thar's so'm jus' ain't right 'bout that.

Yeah, I love Outlaws. Still have the full game, actually. It really is the best pure FPS Western game to come out, which is frustrating because no one else has really tried to do the same thing. A Western FPS could be awesome today, Outlaws is proof of that.

Yeah, that's an easter egg in the first level. I think you get to it by going down below the outhouse.

Yeah, it is. First level, there's a secret easter egg area. Go down inside the outhouse (as in, through the "toilet" seat). I can't remember if you can just fit inside or if you have to blow it away with dynamite or something. Anyway, if you go a ways down in there through the sewage, you come across the inside of some alien structure (I guess it's a ship), and if I remember right, you can see a cow on an observation table through a viewing panel, then an alien goes up to the panel and closes it off.

Its called Call of Jaurez.

But GUN was a very fun game also. I liked it better than any of the others listed so far in this thread.

Yeah, we definetly need a new Western game. I go Outlaws, GUN and CAll of Juarez. And they are all great games (except for the Billy parts in Call of Juarez) and i want more! Even a Western MMO would be cool.Vinth

Ah, I'm working in reverse. I read your sign petition thread first and then started sprouting about Call of Juarez and Gun and here we have everyone already talking about them.

I haven't played either. But what I want is the COD equivalent multiplayer in Western theme.

I didn't mind GUN either, unfortunately it doesn't support high resolutions though, so it looked awful on my 24" widescreen.. Gameplay wise it was pretty cool though.

Nah, that's Call of Jaurez :)

GUN you just play as one dude, but it's *kind of* like GTA in that the town is open and you can get missions from different people, or different things like mail delivery, Dead or Alive bounties, etc..
