I had never heard of hybrid power before so I was inrigued and did a search. "Hybrid Power mode is also fairly self explanatory. With a monitor connected to the mGPU, the discreet graphics card can be completely shut down to reduce power consumption when no in use. A side effect of the reduced power consumption will also be reduced heat and potentially c***less noise output from the system. The discreet card is shutdown (or enabled) using the SMBUS connection inherent to the PCI Express graphics slots. We should also note, that Hybrid SLI is supported by both PCI Express Gen 1 and Gen2."
So it looks as though hybrid power shuts down the graphics card in favour of using the onboard chip to save power. However this is an nVidia tech and the TA790GX (http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en-us/t-series/introduction.php?S_ID=374) looks like an AMD based board. As far as I know the only hybrid tech that AMD uses is Hybrid Graphics which is not the same ting and will use a compatible Graphics card and the onboard chip together to increase framerates.
