Games without a mouse are really difficult.

Though you could buy yourself a Xbox 360 wired controller and use that to play some good ones while on the move.

If you're stuck using the touchpad I guess FPS is out of the question...? :P Try looking for adventure games that are a couple of years old, or other "slow paced" games where controlling through the mouse is not the most important part of game play.

A wireless xbox 360 controller can work with pc but you will have to but a little reciever thingy that connects to the laptop and allows the wireless signal to be recieved.

Handhelds are best for gaming when stuck in a vehicle. I save the laptop for the hotel room. The only games I play on the laptop that don't use a mouse are the MS Arcade Packs (Pacman, Dig Dug, Galaxian, etc) if you can find them still or the games that came with Windows: Space Cadet Pinball, Chess, Solitaire, etc.

Play the 3 stalker games, i just bought the 1 & 2 game myself and i'm having a blast.

It also has multiplayer but the singleplayer will blow you away.

Is the multi any good btw? (haven't played it myself)

I can't imagine playing anything on a laptop while sitting in a car.

Edit: Take some pictures when you do it. I'm sure it will look amusing.

I had a lot of fun with the new tales of moneky island and sam and max series. I could also recomend Sins of a solar empire, Civ IV, Oblivion, Pirates!, Anything made by Tim Schafer, Batman:AA, Fallout 3 and Silent Hunter IV. All not very demanding games that should run well on a laptop.

Hey. Your mouse - you can unplug it from the PC. And then plug it into the laptop.

I think the difficulty with using a mouse in the car is similar to trying to use an external mouse while streched out half on your back on the couch... there's no steady flat surface large enough to put the mouse on. :P

King's Bounty: the Legend, and its sequel Armoured Princess.

A great RPG/strategy hybrid, very fun story and gameplay. They're cheap on Steam.

It's a really good laptop. Only game I really tried to run on it was WoW though. Worked perfectly though. I think the laptop was 2000$. ATLEAST. But sorry for the wasteful laptop. My dad won't let me take it on a car drive. -_-

Battle for Wesnoth.

It's free. It's turn based so you needn't worry about a mouse. It's got a tonne of scenarios. and it's FREE!!!.

He can put the mouse on the seat our bring a large book or flat surface to lay it on.

I play an fps just fine in bed with my mouse on the bed.
