System Shock 2. Lots of psychological horror in that game. Best FPS ever imo.

Resident Evil 4, Doom 3, AvP 2 (as a marine). That's the ones I can think of right now.

I reccently downloaded Penumbra: overture and Im loving it.

Its not a shooter but its a First person Horror game and you should deffinetely give it a try heres a link to the demo:

If you enjoyed FEAR I would reommend Condemned.Maleku

I really liked Condemned also. But it's not really a shooter, despite giving you a chance to use an occasional gun, usually one that is underpowered and lacks ammo. This game is primarily a melee weapon game.

I know a few Undying lovers that claim Jericho is unworthy of the Clive name :x

I personally prefer Jericho over Undying, but Jericho is more action oriented, whilst Undying is more adventure oriented.

Gawd no, I hated that game. It started out so well, but went all downhill from the moment you had to run from your chamber chased by the people. Those clumsy controls......

I enjoyed Cold Fear. Mostly action with a horror thema.

I also enjoyed Parasite Eve I & II on PS1, which weren't FPS, but nice horror shooting games nevertheless.

You should definitely play System Shock 2. Seriously. It is the greatest game of all time, I'd say. It's also the best FPS of all time. And the best horror game on the PC.... of all time.

You should definitely check out the marine campaign in Aliens vs Predator 1 or 2 (my preference is 1). You also get awesome stealth and run 'n' gun campaigns from the alien and predator respectively.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth has been mentioned. It's okay, but it suffers from some trial and error stealth mechanics that are either extremely tense, or extremely tedious - it mostly depends on how good, how lucky and how patient you are. If the game was just a little more fluid and forgiving, I think it would have been a much more tolerable game. It might be worth it, though. It's not really a shooter though. First person, sure, but not a shooter.
