Hey guys, I'm just wondering if theres any good laptops out on the market that aren'textremely exspensive, that can play new videogames (ex. crysis 2 ), and are good for schoolwork. Yes and I'm asking for a goodlaptop recommendation, so don't tell me to go build a good cheap desktop computer, because I need something portable.:P Thanks.

How do you expect us to give you a recommendation without a budget?

I'm interested in this also. Under $1000 is a good target.

I was looking at the alienware m11x laptop. It's a gaming laptop so it must be pretty powerful and reliable, and it's only about 3 pounds.

I highly recommend that one. The cpu is slower than intel ones, so it won't do as well in RTS games (will still do great), but in every other game you get alot of bang for buck. It has a quad core AMD cpu, plus a radeon 6750 graphics card that is crossfired with the discrete radeon 6500 integrated graphics card onboard. The drivers for crossfire need to be tweaked but it will do great once the support is out.

the cpu may be slower but the actual graphics cards inside this thing you won't find in intel based laptops until you start spending upwards of $1600.

That looks like a good laptop. I'll have to do more research on it.
