What are the best PC exclusives of this generation?

What are the best PC exclusives of this generation (2005+)? I am thinking about getting a gaming PC and I want to see if there are any good exclusives that interest me. I already know about Crysis, Stalker, Starcraft.

Any good action games, action-adventure games, platformers?

STALKER series, The Witcher, Amnesia/Penumbra, Crysis (not for me personally, but I can't deny it isn't good), Cryostasis, and hopefully Shogun 2: Total War. It seems that way from the demo. I have never gotten my ass handed to me by any TW game on normal. I haven't even won yet on easy in this game's demo and I **** love it. The AI is smarter than me :)

The Witcher and Company of Heroesflipin_jackass

- Total War Series = one of the best exclusive series on any system imo.

- Stalker

- Crysis 1/Crysis Warhead

- ARMA2 = Like realism? Get this asap. Nothing like this on any other system

- Starcraft2

- The Witcher1/2 - Best rpg this gen imo the first one

- Diablo3 is on the way to

- The Old Republic is on its way to

- Dawn Of Discovery/Anon

- Counterstrike Source

- Civilization 5

- Elemental = didnt get very good reviews, but I like it more then Civ5 personally

- Company Of Hereos

- World Of Warcraft

- Magika

- Amnesia

- Neverwinter NIghts2

- Gothic 1-3

Then of course you have the HUGE back log of awesome older pc games and also the best multiplats 90% of the time.

There are hundreats of them, but mostly obscure titles. These games ^^^ are my favorites this generation, particulary Gothic 3, the best RPG ever.

Crysis

Those are the three best that I can think of from about 2005 till now. There are many many "good" PC exclusives. Games which fall into the 8.0-9.0 and even 9.5 category. And most of those have already been listed (The witcher/ counter strike etc). But WOW/SC2/Crysis, those are probably three games which define PC gaming. WOW for its online gaming, nothing is really as good when it comes to "grandeur". Seamless area transition, and thousand of players on each server at one time. . SC2 for showing why the PC userinterface is still the best. and why it's still the only platform which can do RTS properly. And Crysis for visual prowess, and open environments.

If you asked this question in years 07-08 I would proudly say "Crysis and Crysis Warhead" but now that this bigger-than-life game has been consolized, I would say :

Yeah, multiplats in 1200p or higher, and superior quality. Like Darksiders, Dead Rising 2, DMC 4, etc., etc.

Now for exclusives.. I know of a lot of examples of good platformers. But only for 2005+ ... That's hard.

Why are you limiting yourself? I never get that with other people. The PC is not bound by any generation.

I love the Witcher and Starcraft 2. I am also a huge fan of WoW, TF2, CSS, and most of the other Valve MP games :)

I'm going with 5 years back. The best games would be Medieval II: total War, The Witcher, Titan Quest, Mount & Blade: Warband and Company of Heroes. Something about those games keeps me coming back aside from Company of Heroes only because I played it for something like 5 months straight with no other games.

Cryostasis, World in Conflict, Company of Heroes, Shogun 2, Starcraft 2, Hard Reset, Minecraft, Terraria, Crysis/Warhead, Audiosurf, Civilization V, The Witcher, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, Amnesia, Arma II, Magika, Sanctum, Shattered Horizon, Killing Floor, and Titan Quest. I'm sure there are a few I have left out.
