I know there's alot of good ones, but to be honest I think freeware softwares like AVG, Spybot search and destroy 1.4, and Adware doesn't do the job that well but it has some potential removing some malware and infections. But for you guys who pay for your anti-virus, (GOOD JOB) do any of you guys know of a good anti-virus, spyware, and firewall software?

The ones I use right now are:
1. Kaspersky 7.0 Internet Security(which is pretty good)
2. New Spyware Doctor 5.5 (I think)

And that's pretty much it because having more than 1 anti-vrius, spyware, firewall etc. can conflict with one another. So please recommend to me the ones that are good and the ones you are using. - Thanks

AVG isn't freeware. Also I find it works quite well.

If I were to pay for a virus scanner, I'd probably go for NOD32, as I have more limited experience with Kaspersky. Still, a nod (pun!) goes go each of them for being excellent bits of software. Right now I'm using Avira though, and it does me proud. I haven't had any problems yet, and its light footprint is very nice.

Spyware/Malware removers that you pay for I don't know as much about - what I generally do aside from being careful where I go and what I click is have three non-active programs on my computer - A-Squared, Ad-Aware, and Spybot S&D. I try to run at least one of them at least once a week. They don't conflict with each-other since none of them use real-time proctection, and between the three of them I sure hope they catch most everything.

Firewall, I'm behind a hardware firewall (I'm pretty sure that does as good a job or better). If I were looking for a software firewall though, I would have gone with Blackice, but it seems to have been discontinued - I'm not sure what I'd go with. Probably just cough up the money for the router and stay behind that, since it would likely cost the same amount.

Yea man, stand-alone proection software won't conflict with each other unless its an all-in-one feature like firewall, anti-virus, spyware, all together like The "Internet Security" softwares.

The best firewall and anti-virus programs are from COMODO (google it, I forget the url). These are both free.

The best anti-spyware program is Counter-Spy from Sunbelt. It isn't free, but it's fantastic.

For a firewall, I normally just stick with Zone Alarm (which has been purchased by checkpoint - who also made firewalls as well).

Does the job for me.

The best protection is not to go to questionable sites and open unknown files that said you should never use the admin account unless it's imperative and have your system fully patched also back up your pc weekly. After these simple steps your firewall, anti-virusand spyware detectors will be alot more effective whatever you pick.

I would say that out of all of the past anti-viruses ive had NOD32 is the best. Ive had it for about 3 years, it detects 98% of viruses, which is my estimated guess, and in recent pc magazises(im a nerd) it got 2nd place.

But thats just me:)

Probably Kapersky, actually. It and NOD32 tend to do very well.

My favorite spyware remover is Lavasoft's, but I use Mcaffee because I get it free.
