Basically it just boils down to the PC itself. Generally speaking though multi-plat games do tend to look better on the PC. While it is distinct in difference for me on my PC its not substantial amount for me to care.
not all, but what are the games that you can see a real difference?akam-warSome games are way better looking on PC than consoles, but I don't think I've ever seen a game that looks better on consoles than on PC. So you're asking which games on PC that looks significantly better than it does on consoles? That's also too many to list.

All games that are released both on PC and consoles inevitably look better on PC. In some cases the difference is limited to higher resolution and more AA/AF however often the difference is more noticeable than that. Dragon Age and Metro 2033 are perfect examples.
All of them are improved by sheer hardware muscle on the PC.
While on the consoles a particular game might run at 720p (or less), with no Vsync, no AF or AA. On the PC we can turn on/up those same things. A game will naturally look better at 1080p with vSync, AF, AA.
On top of that SOME games actually take advantage of modern PC hardware. You might see DX 10 and 11 features, better, more complex shadows, improved model mesh quality since there's more performance to tap to increase rendering complexity, longer view distances, lees object/texture pop-in, better physic and AI and higher resolution textures.
Not all games do this however. In fact most don't. So it shows when the developers goes that extra mile. And it shows when they don't.
too each his own i guess but i can hardly play games on my ps3 anymore unless they are really really fun because they remind me of ps1 games after playing pc on the same tv on my desk.Basically it just boils down to the PC itself. Lets see theres:
and i'll stop there as there's just to many games to list that look better on the pc easier to list games that look worse:
If a game is on PC and consoles, there's a good 99% chance that it looks noticeably better on the PC. There's just far too many to list.
When the Halo remake comes out, that will probably look better than Halo: CE on PC. Other than that, good luck finding one game that doesn't look better on PC. There are games that play better on console than PC, like Saints Row 2, but that game still looks better on PC.
I thought it was announced on PC aswell. Anyways, I have only played 1 game that looks worse on PC (Spiderman 2)When the Halo remake comes out, that will probably look better than Halo: CE on PC. metro 2033 might be what you are looking for, the difference is huge. Honestly though, for the most part every game looks as much better as it possible can without redoing the entire thing. If the textures arent good enough, someone will make better ones.
Most reviewers wouldnt agree with this but i think that lots of games look better on PC. Even the ones that get higher console scores. Right now i'm looking forward to Homefront and Crysis. The devs of both games said they would look really good on PC!
[QUOTE="Litchie"]Pretty much all of them.CrimsaderI agree. Haven't seen a PC game that looks worse than it's console brother. Splinter Cell Double Agent
Pretty much all the games that are multiplatform, provided you have the muscle to really kick it in with all setting enabled in glorious 1080p+.
However, the difference in some high quality titles is not extremely different, you will still get higher resolution, AA, AF and so forth on PC but some games look great all across the board.
I dont think he was expecting this kind of response TBH. He probably thaught that only a few games looked better than the console versions and he was going to debunk them by turning this into a "they dont look THAT MUCH better" topic like they always do and then call us all elitists.
[QUOTE="Crimsader"][QUOTE="Litchie"]Pretty much all of them.FelipeInsideI agree. Haven't seen a PC game that looks worse than it's console brother. Splinter Cell Double AgentI was gonna say any Ubi made game as of late from my understanding. I know that R6V and V2 were unoptimized on the PC.

Not really.... most UBI titles work ok on PC, just that they have stupid DRM and sometimes a bit unoptimized (but the looks are better on PC). Except for Double Agent....[QUOTE="FelipeInside"][QUOTE="Crimsader"] I agree. Haven't seen a PC game that looks worse than it's console brother.WhiteKnight77
