What are the must have games for pc??

Just got my new desktop(specs are at the bottom), that will run anything perfectly and need to get some good games. So far i have 1)DOOM 3 2)F.E.A.R 3)HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED 4)Unreal tournament (GOTY) Can you tell me some games i must get, and what there style is(horror, action, sports..you get the idea) And mainly games with amazing graphics.

The Orange Box is a collection of FPS games. Half Life 2 + Episode 1 & 2: Great Single Player FPS. Portal: a funny puzzle FPS. Team Fortress 2: a cartoony team based multiplayer FPS. It also includes HL2: The Lost Coast: A fun tech demo. Company of Heroes is an epic WWII RTS, awesome for both single and mulitplayer.

In all honesty, farcry 1,2 are similar.. so if you were interested in getting "farcry" I would just skip ahead to farcry2, ur not missing much from the first if you play the second, it's all the same... just less mutants and green stuff in the second one

Without a doubt, Morrowind; it's probably the only game that I can say I've spent over 200 hours with. And now, years after its release, there are numerous graphical enhancers around to bring the game's visuals up to par and add distant landscape, among other things. I'd also say that the Orange Box is a must-have, as people above have said. It's a great deal, and it's much, much better on the PC, especially since TF2 is still receiving free content upgrades every few months. Get those two games and you'll be good to go for a good while. Of course, I've left out the obvious choices, like Blizzard's pre-November 23, 2004 games, such as starcraft.

I'd also recommend Mount & Blade - it's a great niche game, but it's not necessarily for everyone. It's more or less a medieval military simulator.

Look into those, and you'll have a solid library.

O.o r u rly a pc gamer? far cry 1 is so much better then farcry 2 these are the same ppl that made crysis crytek knows its fps.

painkiller, dawn of war 1 or two (really its and either/or situation) , company of heroes, starcraft, cs: source, portal, a reckless disregard for gravity (alpha), guildwars, morrowind, rainbow 6: vegas or GRAW (again either/or), grid, cryostasis, all the myst franchise, and finally for a little bit of a scare get "the path" off steam.

If you're in for something unique, pick up Penumbra. All three are for sale on Amazon.com. I also highly recommend Fallout 3 and Half Life 1 and 2. (1 is a little better).

Fear 1 - Mega Ausome,

Doom 3 - Scary has hell, but gets boring if you play it for 2 long.

By the way i dont understand what the orange box is, i know its like 3 games in 1 but is that it? is it just 3 games, or is there something special about them.
