What are the problems with Steam/Valve on a 64-bit Vista?

I'm planning to buy a new laptop, but I've noticed more and more powerful laptops are now using a 64-bit Vista OS.

I know there are constant updates, but as of now are there any problems still plaguing Steam or more accurately Valve games (since I'm playing mostly Valve games on Steam)?

You should be fine with Steam on a 64-bit OS. I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

I get most of my games off of Steam and I have Vista 64 bit. No problems really, but you have to be careful because some games might not like Vista or 64bit. It's not a problem with Steam, but rather some games might not be compatible with Vista.

Check the game requirements before downloading. If a game doesn't say that it supports Vista, search the web to see if other people have had trouble playing it. Many times even if a game does indeed say that it doesn't officially support 64bit, there are work arounds that are pretty straighforward.
