What are your excitement levels like for the game Evolve?

Are you excited to play the game? Its from the same group that designed Left 4 Dead.

I'm interested in trying it and playing it with friends.

I haven't played Left 4 Dead yet... lol...

I don't really like that its 4 vs. 1, coordinating attacks between different infected types was a big part of what made the L4D games so interesting, and that will be totally absent from this.

Still could be good though.

Seeing as to how Left 4 Dead was my least favorite Valve game, that doesn't mean a whole lot to me. I don't know if I have ever heard of Evolve.

I really hated L4D.

No gameplay, no cinematic trailer, all I've seen is just some monster they're making on Youtube.

I can't be excited because a company makes a game, I know Broken Age was made by 2Fly who made Brutal Legend and Psychonauts but from what I've seen there's nothing special about their new game.

Near as I can tell, it's L4D but with everybody versus the Tank. Now the Tank was fun to play as, but occasionally bad when you got no support and had a really coordinated human team. I figure that the monster has several attempts throughout the match. So if in the first round / section it manages to kill all the humans, it evolves. If not, probably stays the same level (specullation). Humans get more weapons or pickups or upgrade skills as they move further into the game. Perhaps they still have a computer AI that throws smaller enemies at survivors. I would prefer to have a few human controllable characters on both sides though, just because it can allow for those epic teamwork moments.

One thing that is interesting is that they have different monster types that fill various roles. I can see the alien creature being appreciated by people with high skillset and the humans appreciated by everybody else.

Still looking forward to it, excitement level: 7/10

Nah. BF4 and maybe Destiny are the only online games I'll need this year.

Reading through the Game Informer this month I am not all that excited. Plus with the games coming this year I doubt I will have time with more lol...

More excited than i was for L4D2.
But not as excited as i am for ESO.

Why are you in the PC forum on a gaming site if you've never played L4D?

Cause L4D is the only PC game in existence?

I didn't have internet back when it launched (good internet) and then when I did none of my friends were interested in it so never got around to playing it.

I'm keeping my eye on it, I really like the concept but that's the problem, all we have is a concept. It's hard to get excited when there is no gameplay.

L4D was ok, but i'm not really into co-op games. victory tastes better when you take it against another human player.

Makers of Left 4 Dead? Count me in.
