I just got the TurtleBeach EarForce PX5 (Wireless Programmable 7.1 Surround Headphones). What audio setting in the game options should i have it set on, in for example, Uncharted 3? Thea headphones support Dolby Pro Logic II, and there is an option to choose it in the game, but to be honest it doesn't sound very good when I choose it. I think it is the headphones that aren't that good actually. I might have gotten used to my old Astro MixAmp.
This probably isn't what you are looking for, but it's best for you to try different settings and see which is your favorite. It's difficult for anyone to help you unless we actualy have those headphones and have tried the settings. You might try a controlled envoironment like a surround sound movie scene as a test and watch a short scene several times with different settings and see which gives you the best output.
In theory you want to select the "surround" option if your game supports it. Your PS3 should be set to output Digital Audio in its settings, as well. This will encode the audio for your PX5's transmitter to decode properly. Remember that it uses Dolby Headphone to simulate surround sound; you cannot get discrete audio from the PX5 because it only uses two drivers (two speakers, one for each cup). If the PX5 is receiving a Digital surround signal an indicator will light up.
The Manual can be viewed here.
Personally I would turn off all surround effects both in game and on the PX5 and just use straight, unprocessed stereo audio. You will need to adjust to taste.
