What class will you be playing in Diablo 3 and Why?

I like Barbarian because I always enjoy action at the front line, unlike Monks, Barbarians can wear much better armors so I know I can stand in the front and take some hits. I love that.

from all the opinions and videos from the closed beta so far, everyone is saying the demon hunter is very under-powered.

I think someone already asked this before, but it has since moved off the page. I'm starting with Monk, but I think I will dabble in all the classes. I won't be rushing to get the best gear or ultra competitive. Just casually playing, but starting with Monk up to level 30 through Normal to see the story. Then I will decide whether to continue the Monk or start some other classes.

Level cap is 60 until a huge patch or expansion pack comes along.

My first character will be a monk, then I'll experiment with the others.

IF I can spare some cash and buy it - Barbarian ... why ? Becouse of WW, always have been a fan of WW ...

But i hate the paladin. Im so glad they got rid of that class.

Interested in playing through with every class, except for the Demon Hunter which really doesn't intrigue me very much. Other 4 classes look great imo.

All of them, but my first class will more than likely be Monk.

Simply because I am about to start taking Kung Fu and Tai Chi, in real life, I also earn to learn Wushu and Wing Chun. Gonna be hard, but I think I will enjoy the hell out of it.

My sister's first character will more than likely be a Wizard, my GF's thinking about the Witch Doctor for her first, that or the Demon Hunter.

Im def gonna play as barb my first play through and main character. loving tanking damage and being the diversion character for all my other weak allies to pick up their gear and money from their corpses

witch doctor!!! Seems the most unique, and interesting.

I voted barb, but I'm split betweent the barb or monk. Though, I may seriously consider playing a lesser played class so items are a bit easier to aquire. Having a large portion of the population playing barbs would be a pain when trying to trade for awesome gear... If you can even trade for them, with enough demand most beastly barb items will be thrown on the RMAH. Maybe I'll play the witch doctor.

monk looks rly fun to play. but for those who been watching beta footages, wheres the attribute points and skill points to spend at the point of lvling up? i havent see any of that as of late. currently it seems that d3 is super gimped...still gonna get it cuz i love diablo.FreshDimSum

I like providing buffs to my team-mates. From the research I have done the Barb looks like he provides slightly more support compared to the Monk! So either way I will be either Barb or Monk!

Due the lack of Paladin I'll use a Barbarian. The other characters seems too "glass-jaw" to do the work. Maybe I'll let a chance to the Monk due the healing mantra, but the Barb will be my main until they release a shield/aura based character.

Demon Hunter... I just like that class the most... seems interesting and fun. I'll most probably make a Wizard afterwards.

I wish they added Ghosts in Diablo III :( or DiabloCraft :O Hrmmmmmmmmmmmmmm They should make that... Starcraft but with Diablo style... (Thank god I don't work as a Game Designer... worst Idea ever)

They must recast the mantras for time to time, so in fact that works more as the Barbarian Battle Cries than as the Paladin Auras.

Barbarian. Cause me like to stomp things.

Barbarian has been my class in Diablo 2 since the beginning, and I'll probably start Diablo 3 with a Barb, but the Demon Hunter looks fun, duel wielding crossbows like a BAUWS.

Is all matter about how the characters will perform in the end-game stages. If the absence of instant teleport scrolls and lack of health potions turns the game into a nightmare to non life-leech characters (i.e.: most of them aside Barbarians) the ladder will be domimated by the more eficient builds of the more efficient characters to do the job. At the begining of Diablo II the ladder was dominated by barbarians in softcore and necros in hardcore, but later softcore was dominated by Sorceress and Hammerdins.
