I didn't even bother with defrag programs since I started using Windows Vista and 7, the defrag that these OSs do by default is actually pretty nice. Just kinda runs in the background and you never notice it.

I use the Windows (Vista/7 - depending on the computer) default. A while back I ran Disk Keeper on my Vista Media Center box that had been using nothing other than the Windows default for nearly 2 years, Disk Keeper reported back that the drive was 0% fragmented. IMO there is no point paying for an app if the Windows default keeps the drive at 0%, especially on a machine that is trashing data around as much as my Media Center.

Yall do know that third party defragger programs perform better then both Vista and Windows 7's defragger?

Both of them are even slower than Windows XP's defragger.

Same one, i disabled the 7 defragger but for some reason i think it still runs because i hear my hard drive thrashing at night..................i don't like the fact that the vista and 7 defraggers don't show you the files so that's why i run another one.
