I am just wondering what everyone thought of the Lost (PC) Video Review here on Gamespot.

The first nine seconds were of exceptionally high standard. I don't know about the rest because it won't load, it skips to the end.
It's ridiculous that GameSpot will devote resources towards making video reviews for games that no one actually cares about, while games like The Witcher and Sins of a Solar Empire don't get a video.
Also, is the video review two minutes thirty eight seconds in length? That's what mine displays as (not that it plays beyond nine seconds anyway). A game can't really be reviewed in two minutes. Not properly.

Don't worry, you're not missing anything. I don't know who the reviewer is for it (some newer guy, I guess), but he's just not good at video reviewing. He comes across too much as just reading lines from a prompter. He does that well and has good enunciation, but there's nothing personal about it, no soul to it. I want the video reviewer to put a casual touch in like the old reviewers did (Jason, Jeff, Greg, etc.), so you feel more like someone is talking specifically to you about the game, as opposed to giving a general rundown of the game's traits like a fact sheet.
And yes, it feels too short even though I haven't played the game, like I'm just not being given a close look at the game like I want. It doesn't go really in-depth on the game like, say, your reviews do.
Naa, I didn't see it. But what pisses me off is how they take their time to video review a crappy game, and they don't even video review a game like Sins of a Solar empire.vash47They do that because you guys already know how good the GOOD games are, and they're just telling us how crappy the CRAP games are :P.
Who really cares though it got a 6.5.. Really for any pc gamer for the most part those games should be avoid inless miraculously you some how played the hundreds of higher rated games out there.. Or your a die hard Lost fan... sSubZerOo
Even as a Lost fan you're probably better off watching the show. It will last longer...
5 hours or whatever it is at a full retail price is insulting.

Same can be said for a LOT of other games out there.. like COD4. The only thing that keeps it going is the multiplayer, which Lost doesn't have. Ive heard a couple people that have the game say its pretty enjoyable. The review doesn't make it sound all that great though.

Oh c'mon man. I don't think you can say it about COD4. If you play the campaign on the hardest setting it will take you 10 hours and then you have the multiplayer - I have played that for over 24 hours. So what if the MP keeps it going. Its still part of the game and shows how brilliant it is.
