What do I need to do or upgrade to make my PC run faster.....

Ok I have this HP Media Center m470n Desktop PC and it been slowing down on me constantly. I can't even have two internet browser open at that same time.. that how slow it running.

I have backed up all my media, mp3, pictures, documents to external HDD, and I have restored my computer to factory... and it still did not fix the issue. I'm also getting constant pop-up and it won't go away even after spyware scan and disc fragment.

After looking at specification do i need to up date my memory if so to what kind... do i need to restore my computer once again... however i did it like 3 weeks ago but the problem still exist.

I can't even reformat my internal HDD... it keep saying please quick any application that using HDD before reformating... I don't know what to do... please help :cry:

if i was you a would buy a new computer u cant really upgrade it and its getting pretty old

I guess you could get a new Hard Drive and install the OS on there all over again, but I advise you get rid of whatever made you slow down in the first place. If you have any peer-2-peer program that's definitely it and you should remove it immediately.

You probably have major spyware/virus issues. I had the same problem with one of my old computers, you have to reinstall the operating system.

You aren't reformatting properly if you're getting that message.

Do you by any chance have your Windows key written down? If yes, then download an image of the version of Windows you own ( Before anyone flames me with piracy charges, its not illegal if he owns a legitimate windows serial) and intall that image with your Windows serial. Then find your drivers and you should be set.

Never use restore discs. Factory installed images from restore discs are chalked full of bloat-ware that will slow your PC down.
