I am getting a new computer in a few months and I want GuildWars after I get the computer... I have to find a computer that is around $500-800... I know GW has low requirements since it has a great engine and I know it doesn't that that much at all to run it on max.

So, what website can I go to where I can get a computer from between $500-800 that will run GuildWars on max? Please list URLs, because when I posted this on the PC Games section, people kept saying over and over that it wouldn't take much to run GW on max and they wouldn't post and URLs...

So, PC between $500-800 (or less) that will run GuildWars on max settings... Website names and info please. ^.^"

IMO, I never played a worse game then Guild Wars, you will reach the maximum level of 20, easily in 4 days MAX. And it took me 3 days, I found the storyline boring, and PvP boring, if I were you, I'd wait for Lord of the Rings Online, which is gonna be released sometime within the nxt few months...

Buy the parts off ebay or online websites like newegg.com and build it yourself. You can run that game easily on max settings no problem with a lot of PCs. If you want to go cheap I suggest just getting someones used single core PC off ebay, 1 gig ram (more than you'll need but desired), and a good graphics card that's bang for your buck. You can run that with a pretty low end cpu, but if you want to run other games I suggest in the 3gz range and higher. AMD or Intel doesn't matter. For graphics card a good bang for your buck card is the x850 ATI. It outperforms a lot of newer cards because it has a high clock frequency and with a simple program it unlocks the card into an x850 xt/pe which gives the card another 15%-20% boost in performance.

With that computer you'll be able to run a lot of new games. It won't break the bank either. Don't feel scared about building a PC. It's actually really easy and I built my first one a couple months ago with no manual or anything.

Ok. But when I looked at HP and Dell computers and chose to customize stuff like better memory or something, it always came up to like $1,100... So, where can I just go to a site and click to buy something and it be good? I don't want to buy a computer and a graphics card seperately... And I don't want to build my own computer because I don't want to have to get all of the parts seperate and have to search for it all... I'm only 14... 0.0'

EDIT: 200th POST RIGHT HERE! XD Heheh... Cool...

no they shouldn't cost that much and yeah your going to have to have to buy a seperate graphics card because computers under 1000 dollars come with intergrated graphics cards which means there built into the socket board and they suck for gaming so right now im looking for a computer for you right now around 500-600 bucks because your going to have to buy at least a 100 dollared graphics card and so what if your only 14 so am i

here you go its a a great computer for 700 bucks but you get and 50 dollar rebate so its only 650 bucks but your going to need a graphics card when you said your budget is 500-800 dollars what does that mean are you going to buy this computer or your parents

But I don't want to deal with all of that stuff... =[ Anyway, thanks for searching around. I would, but I am only checking this every once and a while because I have a report on Red Belly Piranhas due on Tuesday... And I haven't really gotten that much information.... So, thanks for the help... ^.^'

EDIT: My parents are buying it. But I share a room with my brother, so it will be both of ours... I might even have to not got allowance for a while... 0.0'

Oh, and here is a question for anyone who plays GW...

I was reading a review of GW: Factiosn on the X-PLAY site earlier, and it said that in Factions you can have henchmen fill in your party on quests and stuff. i thought that was in the originial, too... 0.0' And it also said that they added big battles like wars between guilds in Factions.. .Weren't the Henchmen and the Guild wars in the original..?

I planned on the getting the original first, but if Factions or Nightfall have better features, I will get one of them first...

no im pretty sure you have to get the orginal before you get the expansion and what do you mean you don't want to deal with that stuff all your doing is opeing the side of the computer and putting a graphics card in the desired slot its easy as hell google some guides if you can't figure it out hell i think they even have a guide on gamespot under tech if you want to game with a computer then your going to have to install your own graphics card because with your budget your not going to get a computer with a good card and all you have to do is get like a 150 dollar card and you can play all new games coming out this year on your computer

Henchmen are in all three games to fill out your party. Heroes (customizable henchmen, basically) are only in Nightfall. Factions is based on PvP, Nightfall is geared more for PvE and due to heroes is a bit more friendly if you just want to play by yourself most of the time.

The battles they're talking about in Factions are the big ones where the two factions control territory and it shifts depending on who's been winning more battles.

I'd go with Nightfall to begin with, myself.

yeah if your parents are nice enough get this card http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/EVGA-e-GeForce-7900-GS-Graphics-Card-256P2N622DX/sem/rpsm/oid/160908/catOid/-13043/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do with this card your computer will be able to play new games easy on medium or high settings so the total cost might be 850 for the computer and graphics card but you'll have a kick ass gaming computer for the next few years

GPU?? What is that....??? 0.0'

EDIT: That would be awesome to have a kick-ass gaming computer!!! I have always wanted one.. My current computer is broke, and I could barely play Flyff on all LOW setting without lagging! And it would lag when no one was around! Damn, my computer was a piece of **** But I actually don't know how much my parents will spend on my new PC... I hope that $850 is cheap enough....

And I will probably start with Nightfall.... I want to start out more on my own... PvP isn't really what I like, but then again, I have never really done it due to my crappy computer situation... So, I will start with Nightfall, most likely....

errr, how will he have a "kickass" computer for the next few YEARS if he gets a 7900 gs? lol, dx9 is passing, dx10 is the new thing. if all he is going to do is play guild wars, then the 7900 gs will be fine, but if he wants to play any new games coming out, he might struggle a bit. he might last a while with his new card, but no where close to a few years. and btw, mastershake, u were flaming me for being 16 and u told me i was immature. then u said u were 17 years old, and now u say ur 14 years old. it means graphics processing unti which basically means graphics card most computers come with a intergrated graphics card which sucks for gaming http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/EVGA-e-GeForce-7900-GS-Graphics-Card-256P2N622DX/sem/rpsm/oid/160908/catOid/-13043/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do this is a amazing card for 200 buck which will bring your total to 850 bucks 50bucks over your budget but try to talk your parents into getting the card with the computer because if yuo do you'll have a great gaming computer that will be able to play games on medium to high for the next year

I mean, not like super new stuff. I don't want to buy a computer just for stuff that is going to come out that will need super high stuff... I just want a computer to play Guild Wars and some other good games i've heard about. I'm totally cool with the stuff you posted. I don't care if it can't play new games in like a few years or anything. The only games I will most likely buy on PC or Oblivion, and all of the GW expansions that are out now and that are coming out.

lol.... it will be years and years until game developers stop supporting DX9. Afterall its only a handful of people with an 8800gts/gtx and it would be suicide to make a DX10 only game. so I would argue that if he gets that comp it will last him a few years, sure it wont be kickass in a few years but it would still be decent. Oh yeah and you should defeintely get spore take a look at it... it looks so amazing

Yeah, well I might have to play just GW then... So would it be more expensive just to buy more RAM, a new Hard drive, Graphics card, and Processor..? Because that good computer would have cost $850... Could I just buy those four parts to max GW for under $850..?
