I've had a long conversation on a post on Sapphire (company that makes video cards with ATI GPU) and i was wondering what you guys thought of that brand or what is the most trusted one for ATI products.

Post with love ! ;)

Peace.

P.S. it's the same topic as "What do you of Sapphire"

a company that makes 60,000 graphics cards A DAY while buying PCBs and other stuff for them can make a few defect cards can't they?

People's trust is misplaced if they buy with confidence from Sapphire. That said, every ATi manufacture sucks in one way or another. VisionTek offers a lifetime warranty, but has bad RMA service. PowerColor offers a lifetime warranty also, but they just shut down their USA offices, so you deal with East Asian tech support. There's no real competition, like there is between the top 3 Nvidia manufactures, on the ATi side.

As i said before, I am very happy with my Sapphire card (runs all the new games perfectly fine, and by fine I mean by my preferences not ultra high settings or w/e). BUT, since your out for negatives, I will say that I never got my rebate!!

lol

I thought you buy your cards in a computer store. And suppose your graphics card died?

You go to the store and you want a replacement? WHAT A BIG DEAL?!?

And if they tell you they will try to fix it they will and they have rights to do so and you have a fixed card and you are set to go. I don't know what that angry fuss is all about here.

Sapphire make good cards. I've had 2 of them and both been solid great cards. No problem with them.

My experiences with Sapphire left a LOT to be desired. I don't think I will ever purchase one of their product again.

Everyone makes good cards. Barring small changes in clock speed and cooler design, every last card is the same. It's what the company does when something goes wrong that matters.

Do they? I've never bought every brand. As I've said never had a problem with one of their cards going wrong. So I've got nothing to complain about.

sapphire never was a bad manufacturer and still isn't bad. People can get bad experiences from all of manufaturers around the world it''s not like this is something new.

I have been buying Sapphire products exclusively all the way back to the 9600 models. Counting them up probably 20 different cards so far and have yet to have a single one fail or be RMA'd.

I think they build quality stuff, IMHO.

Sapphire is not what it used to be though. They used to be the eVGA of ATI but now they are just the company with ****y pictures on their cards lol. Come to think of it, none of ATI's manufactures are really astounding...I have owned a Sapphire card, a GeCube card, and a Vistiotek card, and I have never had to deal with any of their customer service so I guess I can't really comment for sure.

As for Nvidia though, XFX, eVGA, and BFG are by far the best card manufacturers. Too bad they don't sell ATI cards.

You can't use your graphics card not failing as justification for the company being good. The graphics cards are all the same; some from one company will have the same failure rate as others from another company. Yes, there are companies that drastically change the cards, but most just use reference designs. You have the same chance of getting a good from any company.

Anyway, my point is that you haven't even dealt with the company until you've had a problem. How they handle your problems and complaints dictate whether or not you should stay as a customer. Until then, brand doesn't mean much.

I've had a long conversation on a post on Sapphire (company that makes video cards with ATI GPU) and i was wondering what you guys thought of that brand or what is the most trusted one for ATI products.

s00kah

I bought a 2600XT AGP and never had problems apart fromthe instal CD not having Catalyse Controller. I like the fact that they still make AGP.

Are you saying that you like AGP over PCI-E ? If so can you explain me why ?
