[QUOTE="UnrealSin_X"]I just got a VGA HD cable to use my 360 on my pc monitor(Dell Ultrasharp 1905FP 19") and it has 1280x1024 pixels and what does that translate into? 720p?1080i?1080p?SIapshotit's the equivalent of 1080p on a 4x3 screen. No its not... 1280x1024 has 1310720 pixels, where 1920x1080 has 2073600, over 50% more pixels. There isn't a 16:9 equivilent.

OP, you have to choose a 4:3 resolution. I'm pretty sure the only 4:3 resolutions that the 360 is capable of are 480i and 480p. Just choose 480p.
None of the above. It's a 4:3 ratio resolution, all the ones you listed are 16:9.RayvinAzn
Minor correction: the aspect ratio of 1280x1024 is 5:4, not 4:3. At a pixel aspect ratio of 4:3, the pixel-height of an image with a pixel-width 1280 would actually be 960, not 1024.
Not that it's of much significance; your point was that it isn't a 16:9 resolution, which is the aspect ratio of the resolutions he listed.

1280x1024 is a 5:3 ratio (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Vector_Video_Standards2.svg).
Wikipedia is your friend, here's what you need. (hopefully you can read the chart correctly): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Aspect_Ratios_and_Resolutions.svg
1080i/p both have the same resolution.
