Crucial.net scan said i needed this..

: Do I have to install matching pairs?

A: Yes.

Your system requires that you install memory in pairs.

yeah... don't know anything about that scan... or what you have, but it probably detected that your system has duel channel capibility.... In which case... it would be more of a recommonation than a necessity.... or not.

anyway...you guessed it right.... of what matching pair means.

Ok so instead of 1 stick of 1gb i would need 2 stickso f 512mb..

And it says that

Each memory slot can hold DDR PC3200,DDR PC2700 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.

What would i go in and look for at a computer store to buy ram.. what would i ask for?

Crucial is an OK place to order form, you can usually get the same thing for cheaper from newegg(among other places) though.

Crucial is a very good company for RAM though, the best IMHO.

Micron ICs for the win. Crucial is the best IMO too.
